Notre client dans le secteur Industrie recherche un/une Directeur de contrôle de gestion de BU H/F Description de la mission : Detailed Job Description – BU Financial Controller – M/F Context and purpose of the role Within the Finance Department of a large international group, the BU Financial Controller acts as a trusted finance partner to BU management by providing financial insights and challenging business decisions. The role serves as finance business partner for the entities within scope, delivering the financial analyses required for informed decision-making by operational teams and management. The position drives the BU consolidation layer by ensuring consolidated monitoring of the BU's financial results and preparation of financial reporting for MBRs and QBRs. It coordinates financial processes within the BU, including budget, reforecast and closings, and ensures the application of Group financial management rules and standards. The role also contributes to the continuous improvement of controlling processes, reporting tools and data quality, and provides the necessary inputs for the implementation of commercialization agreements between the Group and BU entities, while overseeing the coordination of the calculation and dissemination of internal transfer prices. When a BU CFO is in place, the BU Financial Controller acts as a true right-hand partner, supporting financial steering of the BU, preparation of strategic decisions and representation of the Finance function within the BU. Key challenges / areas of complexity The role involves interactions with a broad range of stakeholders across industrial, commercial, financial, IT and HR functions, at various levels including CFOs, Controllers, Accountants, CEOs and Engineers. It requires the ability to adapt technical expertise to different audiences and to be both responsive and pedagogical. These multi-dimensional interactions take place in a multicultural and technically complex environment. Diplomatic skills and interpersonal agility are essential, as well as the ability to assert positions firmly when required. The breadth of the scope requires strong organizational skills to collect and restitute a large volume of data within strict deadlines. The role requires a broad skill set spanning accounting, finance and industrial processes, together with strong proficiency in Excel and reporting tools. Key responsibilities and activities As Finance Business Partner to the BU's operational teams: • Understand, challenge, report and forecast the BU's financial performance drivers • Coordinate the monthly financial reporting of the BU and prepare monthly management commentary for BU leadership and Group Controlling • Drive the BU consolidation layer and ensure the consistency and reliability of consolidated financial data including P&L, working capital, Capex and FCF across all entities in scope • Coordinate the budget and reforecast processes within the BU by driving data collection, challenging operational and financial assumptions, and ensuring consolidation for the Group • Actively contribute to month-end closing, forecasting and budgeting processes for the activity scope, including preparation of supporting documentation and accounting entries required for booking • Interact cross-functionally with BU stakeholders, including leadership teams, site managers, project leads and Group support functions such as sales, logistics, engineering, accounting, tax, treasury, environment and CSR • Facilitate information flow and budget processes between entities within scope and other Group departments • Act as a trusted finance partner to BU management by providing financial insights and challenging spending decisions • Monitor the progress of improvement initiatives identified within the BU and contribute to identifying new opportunities As guardian of Group financial management standards within the BU: • Ensure the application of Group financial management rules and standards across all BU entities • Guarantee compliance of financial reports with Group norms and requirements • Act as the key point of contact for BU teams on methodology, management rules and accounting standards As expert in management best practices and continuous improvement: • Develop and promote controlling standards including reporting templates, analysis models and steering tools in coordination with Group Controlling • Contribute to the continuous improvement of controlling processes, reporting tools and data quality • Actively contribute to the development and training of local finance teams • Lead and/or participate in financial data digitalization projects and usage of AI Required profile and experience Education: • Business school or Engineering school graduate with a specialization in Finance, Corporate Finance, Audit or Financial Controlling Experience: • Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience, including at least 5 years in controlling such as Audit or Plant Controlling Required technical skills: • Solid knowledge of general and analytical accounting and consolidation • Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools • BFC, SAP/Oracle, Power BI and Anaplan are cited as pluses • Fluent English, written and spoken Personal qualities: • Analytical skills, ability to synthesize, rigor, attention to detail and resilience under pressure • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to adapt to a complex and constantly evolving organization • Analytical mindset and ability to challenge data • Autonomy, curiosity and enthusiasm • Pedagogical approach, service orientation and ability to work in a cross-functional environment International missions and travel • Occasional travel to operational sites within the BU scope Compétences / Qualités indispensables : Financial controlling, Consolidation and financial reporting, Budgeting and reforecasting, Accounting and consolidation, Advanced Excel, Fluent English Compétences / Qualités qui seraient un + : BFC, SAP/Oracle, Power BI, AnaplanInformations concernant le télétravail : Oui — 2 jours/semaine
