We are looking for a DV cleared Infrastructure Engineer to join a growing operations support team. The preferred candidate will demonstrate effective application of Infrastructure and extensive knowledge across a variety of technologies such as Linux (Ubuntu / CentOS), Microsoft Windows Server (including services such as AD, DNS, DHCP) and virtualisation (Hyper-V), Microsoft Stack Technologies (Sharepoint, SQL Server, Skype for Business / Teams), networking technologies and storage. The role will provide technical exposure variance across both outcomes based project activities and operational (Business as Usual) support activities. The duties of the role will also include providing remote and on-site support. There is also a requirement to provide out of hours on call support. You will be expected to contribute towards the creation and ongoing maintenance of technical documentation and provide material to support the project work or the operational support service. Experience includes: - Have excellent knowledge of Virtualized Environments such as VMware and Hyper-V; - Have excellent knowledge of Windows Server Environments, from Server 2003 - 2019, including OS build, AD, DNS, DHCP and GPO from design to implementation and support; - Have strong Linux system administration skills (Ubuntu / CentOS); - Have good general knowledge of TCP/IP and networking technologies including load balancing and firewalls; - Have good general knowledge of Microsoft stack technologies such as SharePoint, Skype for Business / Teams, MS SQL, MS System Centre, Office365, MS Exchange & CLI tooling such as PowerShell; - Have good general knowledge of SAN storage technologies; - Have excellent analysis and problem solving skills, taking ownership of complex incidents ensuring these are resolved to the satisfaction of the customer; - Possess excellent communication skills; - Have experience of producing and updating technical documentation to a high standard; Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced helpdesk environment. A desire to grow your skills and progress into more advanced comms engineering roles. Useful, but not essential: Exposure to hosted VoIP platforms such as Gamma, Horizon, CallSwitch or Yealink handsets. Awareness of Microsoft Teams Phone, Operator Connect and Teams Calling Plans. Experience with DrayTek, UniFi, Aruba or SonicWall networking solutions. Experience using a ticketing system such as HaloPSA. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or vendor-specific VoIP and networking qualifications. Technologies you will work with: Voice & Telephony Hosted VoIP: FloCX (Gamma/Cisco), FloOne, Floline+ Microsoft Teams Phone and Operator Connect SIP trunking (Gamma and Voicehost) Yealink handsets and desk phone estates Call routing, IVR, call queues and voicemail FloAnywhere and mobile solutions Connectivity & Networking SoGEA, FTTC, FTTP and leased lines DrayTek, UniFi and Aruba networking SonicWall firewalls and VLAN configuration Carrier and broadband fault management HaloPSA ticketing and service records Monitoring tools for call quality and latency Working pattern: Monday to Friday, working 8 hours per day between 08:00 and 18:00. A 30-minute lunch break each day. Weekend on-call support on a shared rotation. Office-based at either Pencoed (Bridgend) or St Asaph. Prendre en charge les incidents et demandes de niveau 1 et 2. Diagnostiquer et résoudre les problématiques liées aux postes de travail et aux périphériques. Installer, configurer et maintenir les postes Windows 10/11 et Mac. Assurer l'administration et le suivi des équipements via Microsoft Intune. Participer à la gestion de l'environnement Microsoft Windows Server. Assurer le support sur les environnements bureautiques et matériels. Intervenir sur les problématiques réseau de premier niveau : switch, firewall, connectivité réseau. Assurer le suivi des incidents et demandes via l'outil de ticketing. Documenter les interventions et contribuer à l'amélioration continue du support. Accompagner les utilisateurs dans l'utilisation des outils et équipements informatiques. Garantir un haut niveau de qualité de service et de réactivité, particulièrement auprès des utilisateurs VIP.
