Site Infrastructure Engineer South East England - Field Based (Southampton, Kent and up to Cardington) £30,000 - £35,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance Excellent opportunity for an IT Support or Infrastructure Engineer looking for a varied, field-based position where you will become the go-to technical contact for multiple operational sites across the South East. This organisation is a well-established national business providing essential services to customers across the public and private sectors. Operating from a large network of UK locations, they are continuing to invest in their technology, infrastructure and operational capabilities. The wider group employs approximately 2,600 people across 72 sites, providing the stability of a national organisation alongside plenty of local responsibility and autonomy. In this varied role, you will support the network, IT and communications infrastructure across sites throughout the South East. You'll troubleshoot LAN and WAN equipment, install hardware, support Microsoft 365 and Windows 11 environments, and assist with data and voice cabling. You will also coordinate third-party suppliers and act as an escalation point between central support teams and site-based colleagues. The territory stretches from Southampton across to Kent and as far north as Cardington, with much of the current activity concentrated around Rainham and the wider Kent area. This is a genuinely field-based role, so you'll need to be comfortable travelling between sites and managing your own workload. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting networks and end-user IT equipment within a multi-site, field-based or operational environment. You will need a full UK driving licence and should be confident working independently, communicating with non-technical colleagues and representing the IT function on site. Contexte Notre client, acteur majeur du secteur public belge, recherche un Coordinateur de la Migration Réseau & Support – SD-WAN pour accompagner un projet stratégique de modernisation de son infrastructure réseau. La mission s'inscrit dans un environnement IT complexe comprenant notamment les réseaux LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, la téléphonie, les serveurs, les infrastructures datacenter, la sécurité IT et l'architecture réseau. Le projet consiste à migrer le réseau opérationnel d'environ 700 sites d'une infrastructure basée sur FlexVPN vers une architecture SD-WAN, avec la mise en œuvre de plusieurs underlays : MPLS, Internet et 4G/5G. Missions principales Planifier et coordonner les migrations SD-WAN site par site, en garantissant une interruption de service minimale. Accompagner la migration de l'infrastructure FlexVPN vers SD-WAN. Documenter l'architecture réseau, les configurations, procédures et schémas techniques. Mettre en place et activer les solutions de monitoring et supervision réseau. Diagnostiquer et résoudre les incidents réseau pendant et après les migrations. Superviser les performances réseau après migration : trafic, QoS, routage et qualité de service. Identifier les problèmes de performance et proposer des actions d'optimisation.
