Role Overview The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable, reliable, and secure data pipelines and data platforms that power digital products, analytics use cases, reporting, and data-driven services. Acting as a key contributor within cross-functional delivery teams, the role collaborates closely with Product, Backend, Frontend, Architecture, Data Analytics, and platform teams to deliver trusted data assets across ingestion, transformation, storage, and access layers. At Supervising Associate level, the role leads complex data engineering delivery, sets technical direction and strengthens team capability across initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead technical delivery across complex data workstreams: Make design decisions and resolve cross-platform dependencies, governance risks, and escalations. Mentor engineers, enforce engineering and data standards, and drive improvements in architecture, quality, lineage, security, observability, cost, and technical debt management. Data Pipeline & Platform Delivery Design, implement, and maintain batch and streaming data pipelines using Python and modern data engineering frameworks. Build reliable ingestion and transformation processes from internal and external data sources, including APIs, databases, files, and events. Develop reusable data processing components and frameworks following software engineering best practices. Data Quality, Reliability & Observability Implement data validation, quality checks, and monitoring to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness, and trustworthiness of data. Write clean, testable code with unit and integration tests for data pipelines and processing components. Instrument pipelines with logging, metrics, alerts, and operational monitoring. Performance, Scalability & Architecture Optimize data processing performance, storage layouts, query efficiency, and platform resource usage. Design pipelines for scalability and resilience using retries, idempotency, checkpointing, and backpressure patterns. Apply partitioning, caching, and parallelization strategies where appropriate. Security, Governance & Continuous Improvement Implement secure data handling practices, including access controls, encryption, secrets management, and compliant data processing. Ensure alignment with enterprise, regulatory, privacy, data classification, retention, and lineage requirements. Support audits and data governance processes where required. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Professional experience building data pipelines and data platforms using Python. Strong experience with SQL and data modeling concepts, including dimensional, normalized, analytical, or lakehouse patterns. Hands-on experience with relational and analytical data stores, such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, data warehouses, or data lakes. Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, and code reviews for data workloads. Expertise on cloud platforms, with Azure/Fabric, and relevant data services. Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to collective success while remaining open to feedback and coaching from more experienced colleagues. Strong understanding of data security, access control, observability, and production support practices. 7+ Years of Experience are required.

In this role, the specialist provides advanced support for the FIS Integrity Treasury Application, resolving complex incidents and system issues escalated from lower support tiers. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting application and interface problems, monitoring system performance, and coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors to implement fixes and enhancements. The role also involves supporting treasury users with configuration queries, assisting with system upgrades and patches, and ensuring that controls and documentation are maintained. This is a full-time 3rd Level Treasury Systems Support role focused on the FIS Integrity Treasury Application. Relevant degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, information systems, or a related field is preferred. Senior MI Business Analyst/Project Manager Our Client is a bank based in the City and are looking to recruit a Senior MI Business Analyst with Project Management skills. You will have at least 6 to 10 years proven hands-on expertise. Focus of the role: · Help the organisation (Senior Management and SMEs) to review business and financial performance of the organisation based on data and facts, advance understanding of the business success factors, business results and risks. · Develop technical and business solutions for MI, enable effective data management and sourcing of the data for MI, reporting and project activities. · Interact with vendors, Project teams and Development team in London and other sites to align delivery of the MI and sourcing of the data across business functions and entities. Responsibilities: · Develop MI and Reports predominantly for the business functions and SMEs, based on their requirements and expressed needs. Key Skills: · Technical o Advance SQL querying skills, ability to write complex SSRS formulas o In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server and experience to deliver MI and reporting solutions using the entire spectrum of the MI solutions (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI) ideally on early versions (2013/2016) and assist the organisation to migrate to later versions. o Exposure and high-level understanding of the SSAS and MDX language (although the organisation currently does not use OLAP). o Good exposure to PowerBI and advance knowledge of DAX (query language) and data modelling using this tool. o Good working knowledge of Excel capability, use of the reporting purposes, and formulas; desired VBA skills to optimise the data presentation. o Ideally, working knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase. o Working knowledge of SharePoint and its use to manage the MI, automate MI and reporting workflow, information and report distribution. o Good working practice designing data collections by using Kimball methodology. · Non-technical: o Practical understanding of the Data Visualisation techniques and principles. o High-level understanding of the data management and its impact on organisation's bottom line. o Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to understand the business requirements, link them to a business narrative and softly guide SME by delivering the requested MI. o Some understanding of the architectural principles, Agile methodology to engage users and deliver business solutions. o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and narrative to business audience and non-technical teams.
