On behalf of the Met Office, we are looking for a Software Developer (Python) (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract based Hybrid in Exeter. As a Software Developer, your main responsibilities will be: * Design, develop, and maintain software applications that support operational needs. * Design, code and test, software applications according to specifications and standards. * Fix faults following agreed procedures and carry out agreed maintenance tasks on infrastructure. * Effectively document all work using required standards, methods, and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. * Work on more complex integration as part of a wider team. * Prioritise and define approaches to understand the user story, guiding others in doing so.
