Site Manager - Edinburgh - Cabling project
🚧 Job Opportunity: Site Manager - High Voltage Cabling Project (Outside Edinburgh) 🚧 Location: Near Edinburgh, Scotland Rate: £550/day (Inside IR35) Duration: Long-term (4-year project) Start Date: ASAP Client: Major Infrastructure Contractor (Scottish Power Project) We are currently seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a major High Voltage (HV) cabling project located just outside of Edinburgh. This is a long-term opportunity on a prestigious Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) scheme, offering stability and the chance to work on a technically challenging and rewarding infrastructure project. 🔧 Key Responsibilities: Support the Senior Site Manager in the day-to-day management of site operations. Oversee and coordinate subcontractors, plant, and materials. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards. Liaise with a demanding client and maintain strong working relationships. Manage site documentation and reporting. Drive progress to meet project milestones and deadlines. ✅ Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Site Manager on infrastructure or utilities projects. Strong track record of managing challenging clients and complex site logistics. Experience running daily site activities independently under senior supervision. Excellent communication and leadership skills. 🌟 Desirable Experience: Previous work on SPEN or other Scottish Power projects. Background in cross-country cabling or gas pipeline installations. Familiarity with HV cable installation and associated civil works. 📍 Location & Logistics: Due to the remote nature of the site and the longevity of the scheme, preference will be given to candidates based in or near Edinburgh or those willing to lodge locally.
