The SOC Analyst will be joining an established SOC Team of eight years. The SOC analyst will be the first to respond to cyber security incidents. They will be required to report on cyber threats and will work as part of an expanding security team, working alongside security managers and cybersecurity engineers. . The SOC utilise both tried and tested tooling and state of the art technologies and methods to ensure we provide the best level of service and protection to our prestigious list of clients. Our client base covers a wide range of verticals from Government, MOD and CNI through to companies that are easily recognisable as household names. The SOC is a 24x7x365 operation therefore the SOC Analyst Team works shifts on a 2 Days, 2 Nights 4 Rest Days. This is a Hybrid Working position where the dayshift is operated from a CGI office. Therefore it is expected that two days per week will be spent in an office with colleagues. Security Clearance Required. Solutions Architect Designer Our Client a Telecoms company is looking to recruit a seasoned professional who has at least 5 to 10 years experience as a Solutions Architect Designer. You will be involved in developing and implementing systems architecture designs that will meet business needs. The Solution Designer’s responsibilities include designing innovative solutions based on business requirements, creating functional specifications, assessing the current software systems in place in order to identify areas in need of improvement, and overseeing development teams. Participating and leading on projects where analysis of systems or data requires an in-depth evaluation of complex business process, system process, and industry standards. Designing technology solutions by modelling requirements and applying standard application methodology best practices. Resolving technical problems as they arise. Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed. Maintain & update Enterprise Architecture documentation. Technical IT Manager Our Client a financial institution with offices in Reading, are looking to recruit an IT Manager to manage the infrastructure and technology for the company. You must be hands-on and have at least 7 to 10 years proven track record. The following are a list of functions for this position: Monitoring and management of the relationship with the managed service provider, including performance against SLAs, charges for non-standard items, complaints, changes to service System changes (software upgrades, introduction of new systems Non-standard requests (new software requests, different/more powerful laptops, etc) Acquisitions of businesses - guidance on how to absorb people and systems Security system monitoring - interpreting and managing output from the SOC (security operations centre) Software licensing (Microsoft, Mimecast, other systems (time recording, billing, marketing, etc) Change management (internal authorisation for significant system changes) Assistance to senior management in relation to IT issues (for example, integration with a new time/billing system) Response to technological change (e.g. major updates to Microsoft software, introduction of AI-based systems) Accreditation for security certificates (Cyber Essentials Plus, possibly ISO 27001) Assistance with AAF and other audits Management of joiner/leaver process Business continuity plan & disaster recovery This is a hybrid position with 2 to 3 days in the office at the offices in Reading.
