A global medical device company are looking for a Lead Engineer / Scientist to join their Research and Development team on a contract basis. The purpose of the role is to lead the design of the embolic design element of the project. Leading a team in the development of drug-device combination products with a focus on the drug side. You'll need to have a working knowledge of designing and executing stability establishing studies in accordance with ICH guidelines and working knowledge of the analytical test methods required for characterisation of APIs. You will need to use analytical methods and have analytical experience. You will need to have a polymer background and experience of laboratory methods. Essential skills: • Polymer background • Research and development experience • Leadership experience Desirable skills: • Polymer characterisation techniques • Pre-filled syringe combination product design requirements • Sustained release or hydrogel based formulation design • Embolization product design The start date is for ASAP.
