Clearance Required: DV Senior Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Tooling Architect - Senior ITSM Architect Brief overview on the role/project: As a Senior Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Tooling Architect you will play a crucial role in ensuring continued delivery excellence in support of our customers Digital Transformation priorities. You will work as part of an Agile team reporting into the Solution Owner to produce design documentation on a wide variety of ITSM tooling solutions which vary in size and complexity. Working alongside a team of dedicated professionals, you will be driven to find better, faster, more effective solutions. Mandatory skills: Extensive experience in the design, installation, configuration and customisation of various ITSM/ITIL/Service Desk Tooling technologies which should ideally include technologies from one or more of the following: - CA Service Desk Manager - BMC Remedy - BMC Helix - ServiceNow - Cherwell Service Management Software - Freshworks - ManageEngine . Extensive experience of working within the bounds of ITSM/ITOM/ITIL/eTOM processes, ideally, with accompanying certifications (E.g. ITIL v4 certified). . Extensive knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of highly secure, highly resilient, large scale ITSM tooling solutions for cloud, on-premises and hybrid cloud solutions. . A working knowledge of general Information Technology Core infrastructure capabilities including: - Windows Server technologies - Active Directory and Group Policies - SQL and SQL Server Clustering - PKI Infrastructure and certificate management capabilities . General knowledge of scripting, applications development and data manipulation techniques including: - SQL Scripting - Powershell - JavaScript - REST Web Services - C# - Power BI - SQL Server Reporting Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Role Description: "Key Responsibilities - Design, deploy, and operate Splunk Enterprise and ITSI for hybrid Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. - Onboard data at scale (HEC, Universal Forwarder/Deployment Server), align to CIM, and enforce RBAC, retention, and cost guardrails. - Build ITSI service decompositions, KPIs/multi-KPI thresholds, NEAP policies, glass tables, deep dives, and service health scoring. - Create OpenShift-focused exec/ops views: cluster health (API/etcd), node readiness/pressure, pod restart hotspots, network/storage errors, capacity and quota/bursting visibility. - Tune search and platform performance: workload rules, concurrency, DMA, summary indexing, and scheduling hygiene. - Implement alerting, enrichment, routing to ITSM/ChatOps, suppression windows, maintenance schedules, and runbook automation. - Govern ingest and security: allow/deny lists, PII handling, TLS, token governance, index/role mapping, and data quality SLAs. - Integrate upstream sources and pipelines: OpenTelemetry, Prometheus exporters, Fluentd/Fluent Bit/Vector, Kafka, CMDB/ITSM enrichments, AIOps/ML anomaly detection.
