On a typical day you will… Provide line management, coaching, and development to SOC analysts and engineers. Lead the configuration, tuning, and maintenance of core SOC capabilities including log aggregation, alerting, correlation, threat detection, and response tooling. Collaborate with cyber engineers to develop and automate detection logic and incident response playbooks. Work with our Technical Product Manager and Security Architect to ensure SOC capabilities align with enterprise security architecture and strategy. Develop and maintain scenario-based runbooks and technical procedures for incident response. Engage with project teams to provide security assurance for new and existing services. Drive continuous improvement in SOC operations, tooling, and team capability. Monitor and report on SOC performance, including: - SLA/OLA adherence and incident handling timelines - Volume and severity of security incidents - Average time to detect (MTTD) and respond (MTTR) to threats - Accuracy and relevance of alerts (e.g. reducing false alarms) - Coverage of threat detection across systems and services - Outcome-focused metrics such as reduced dwell time, successful containment rates, and measurable improvements in security posture

Our client is looking for 2 ServiceNow Technical Architects to work on a 3-6 month Outside IR35 contract. Candidates would need to be onsite 2-3 days per week in Newbury, offering £375-£400 per day. Job Summary ServiceNow Technical Architect to oversee the end-to-end design, development, and delivery of ServiceNow solutions across the enterprise. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring that the ServiceNow platform is optimized, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The Tech Architect is responsible for architecture, engineering, and business stakeholders while mentoring designers, team members and driving best practices. Key Responsibilities * Lead the technical design and delivery of complex ServiceNow implementations and enhancements. * Partner with product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality solutions. * Provide technical leadership to ServiceNow developers, administrators, and engineers across multiple projects. * Drive the adoption of platform governance, security, and development standards. * Oversee the implementation of core and advanced ServiceNow modules (ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, CSM, GRC, SecOps, etc.). * Lead the design of integrations with external systems (REST, SOAP, APIs, LDAP, SSO, etc.). * Ensure platform stability, performance, scalability, and compliance. * Act as the escalation point for complex technical issues and performance challenges. * Mentor, coach, and conduct technical reviews for development teams. * Stay current on ServiceNow roadmap, new releases, and industry best practices, advising leadership on strategic platform improvements. Required Qualifications * 12+ years of experience in IT, with 6+ years of ServiceNow development/engineering experience. * Proficient in ServiceNow ITSM Module * Proven experience in leading technical teams on large-scale ServiceNow programs. * Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide), Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, and advanced configuration. * Solid understanding of ITIL/ITSM frameworks and their application within ServiceNow. * Strong knowledge of CMDB design, service mapping, and ServiceNow capabilities. * Experience with enterprise integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, SSO, LDAP, etc.). * Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
