Confluence & Jira Developer / Configurator - 12 months - Brussels Our important client is currently looking for a Confluence & Jira Developer / Configurator for a 12-month contract in Brussels. Join the Software Delivery Center of Excellence, where we enhance the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and standardize software delivery processes. We’re looking for an experienced Atlassian Confluence & Jira Developer/Coach to support our SAP team and collaborate with Atlassian experts. Role Overview You will configure, develop, and integrate Atlassian tools (Jira & Confluence Cloud) and coach multiple SAP delivery teams within a large enterprise transformation program. Key Responsibilities Integrate Jira with SAP Solution Manager, test tools (XRAY, automation), and PowerBI (via API). Build Jira/Confluence automations and ensure governance and documentation. Coach and train teams (>5 at a time) on Atlassian tools and SDLC best practices. Drive continuous improvement in software delivery processes. Required Qualifications (All must be met) 8+ years in SDLC/Software Delivery (SAP delivery experience is a plus). 5+ years implementing Jira & Confluence across at least 3 large (50+ people) delivery teams, including offshore teams. Experience integrating Atlassian tools with SAP Solution Manager (Build & Run). Experience integrating Atlassian tools with XRAY and test automation tools. Strong coaching background across multiple teams. Fluent in English; Dutch/French is a plus. Soft Skills Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented. Strong communication and coaching abilities. Independent, results-driven, and customer-focused. Team player with the ability to guide junior colleagues. Evaluation Criteria Proven administration experience with Jira Software, Confluence, and Atlassian Cloud add-ons. Experience in system administration, access management, IT asset management, automation, and scripting. Strong problem-solving skills. Background in application support, system administration, or service desk roles. Develop detailed technical design specifications and code accordingly. Share technical expertise with the team through mentoring and code reviews. Establish and ensure the application of technical best practices and coding standards to maintain high software quality standards. Communicate estimates and assist management in planning resources and tasks. Report project and task progress in a timely manner. Conduct feasibility analysis of potential future projects. Ensure an appropriate level of documentation is maintained as required to facilitate the development, delivery and traceability of the project. Participate in explaining and presenting the system design, functional requirements, and documentation to various audiences (e.g. support, PM, security, Ops/DevOps…). Develop solutions according to the provided specifications, ensuring the systems' extensibility, robustness, and scalability. Test and debug implemented features and provide fixes for reported bugs and issues. Provide training to users and technical support staff on the implemented system. Solve complex technical problems in a collaborative environment, providing guidance to others as needed. Assist other teams, particularly the security teams during certifications, regional teams during audits, and the Ops/DevOps teams. Take full responsibility for their own tasks, from assignment to completion. Keep abreast of the latest technology related to the industry. Plan team members' tasks, track progress, verify completion, and ensure delivery within defined timeframes and quality levels. Report and provide recommendations to management regarding team member productivity issues and software development management. Contribute to continuous process improvement.
