This role offers hands-on experience to support career advancement in the Digital Data and technology sector. As part of the Army Power Platform team, you will be actively involved in designing, developing, and managing advanced applications that enhance efficiency, address user needs, and enhance services for Army Automation and Process across the entire Army. Working in an Agile setting, you will have the support of a Senior Application Engineer and collaborate with other application engineers, as well as various roles within a delivery squad (including Delivery Manager, Business Analysts, DevOps, Architects, and Testers). As a DeveOps Engineer, you will have a crucial role in implementing our Low Code/Power Apps strategy, supporting diverse business areas within the Army. You’ll have opportunities to contribute to impactful digital work, such as: Your day to day will be supporting applications which have been built using PowerApps and Power Automate, as well as converting old systems into low code applications and building new applications from scratch You’ll collaborate with senior developers and own the Application Development Lifecycle Process as part of a delivery team focused on one or more products You’ll also be actively participating in improving the capability of the Power Platform team, as well as presenting at Show and Tells to share achievements with the team and stakeholders Support platform Governance for Citizen Coders – FAQs, Technical Forums Contribute to Service Management processes. Power Platform Developer - SC Cleared A Power Platform Developer is needed. You will have proven experience developing solutions with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse) and the ability to design, develop, and deploy custom Power Apps to solve key business challenges. Skills required: - Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including creating complex data models, writing advanced DAX measures, and using Power Query. - Strong competency in SQL to build dimensional data models for reporting solutions. - Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics. - Familiarity with other Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or Azure SQL Database. - Experience working with the Dataverse API - Able to support, guide and mentor junior developers The role is based remotely and the contract is for 6 months initially, inside IR35. Main duties consist of but are not limited to: Be responsible for the team’s design, coding, testing and documentation of large, complex or mission critical applications in a cloud first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in MS Azure Work alongside the Head of Development and Digital Engineering to support staff, provide guidance and facilitate issue resolution on a day-to-day basis Day-to-day line management activities such as 1-2-1s and development of IDPs Support in the recruitment of permanent and contract technical specialists for the delivery teams Configuration and customisation of Dataverse / Dynamics entities and forms Development of PowerApps integrations with other Azure components such as Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions Supporting upgrades and maintenance of the PowerApps platform Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks and issues Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environments Implement APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability Understanding yourself to be a leader (and the impact of your behaviour on others in a project team focused on results) Work alongside the Head of Digital Engineering to support staff, provide guidance and facilitate issue resolution on a day to day basis

Software Engineer Our Client is looking for a Software Engineer with at least of 5 years of progressively complex experience in a directly related area, during which both professional and technical capabilities have been clearly demonstrated. Your expertise must include design and development experience with various relevant Microsoft platforms, tools, technologies, patterns, and techniques related to MSFT suites, Azure tools, integration, and data is required. Experience with industry/domains like pharmaceutical, finance, HR, sales, marketing, and manufacturing is highly preferred. Experience with healthcare industry regulations, data security and compliance standards (e.g. GDPR), and EDI standards (e.g. FHIR, HL7), etc. is very valuable. Developer certifications of Azure and/or Microsoft suite technologies is a big plus. A degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is required. Technical skills: In-depth knowledge and experience in programming, administrating, configuring, and integrating using/with MS Office/MS Office 365 suite, SharePoint Online, Power Apps/Power Automate, GitHub, MS Teams, etc. In-depth knowledge & development experience using Azure integration tools like Data factory, Logic Apps, etc. Along with knowledge of utilizing Azure SQL Server, Data lake, etc. In-depth knowledge & experience using Visual Studio, with one of the programming languages: C#/Java/JavaScript/Python, and PowerShell. Thorough understanding of the fundamental architecture of the cloud and on-prem MSFT Suite. Solid fundamentals and thorough understanding of exception handling principles and production/operational support solutions (alerts, dashboards, runbooks, etc.) Experience working with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline. Knowledge and some experience of using Serverless, SOAP, XML, REST, JSON, EDI, XSLT, etc. Knowledge and some development experience using MS SQL Server (SSIS, T-SQL, Stored procedures, Functions, Views, Queries, Datatype conversions, etc.). Experience working with APIs, Postman/SOAPUI tools, MS D365, ServiceNow, Azure Analytics tools, Azure Synapse, Azure BYOD & Data verse, Azure DevOps, Informatica, BI tools, etc. is a big plus. General business skills: Excellent communication to translate and explain business requirements to technology & vice-versa. Analytical & methodical mindset with a problem-solving attitude is extremely important for the success of this role. Concise written, verbal, and presentation skills.
