Senior Software Engineer Remote - 2 days a month in Birmingham £65,000 to £80,000 depending on experience Excellent opportunity for a front end software engineer with strong JS framework skills (React or Vue) to join a fast-growing, tech focused start-up company, that have just gone through another round of funding and offer a unique autonomous remote role to help shape the company's growth. Our client is seeking an experienced Cabling Consultant to lead the design, program management, and execution of large-scale, complex cabling deployments in data center environments. This role requires deep technical expertise in copper, fiber, and InfiniBand cabling systems, as well as proven leadership in managing multi-team operations for projects involving 20,000+ endpoints and large GPU clusters (5,000+ GPUs). You will be responsible for designing standards, building best practices, and supervising partners to ensure high-quality, efficient deployment of structured and point-to-point cabling infrastructures across multiple data halls. This role can be based anywhere in UK but does require extensive travel to: Nordics, France, Portugal, UK, Saudi. All travel expenses are paid for. The rate is around £73.50 per hour but this can be slightly flexible for the right person. Key Responsibilities * Design Leadership o Develop and validate cabling designs for large-scale data center environments, including leaf-spine and superspine architectures. o Define structured and point-to-point cabling standards and best practices for high-density deployments. o Ensure compliance with industry standards and alignment with project specifications. * Program Management o Plan and manage complex cabling projects involving 20,000+ cables across multiple topologies. o Coordinate and oversee multiple teams and partners working in 24x7 shifts to meet aggressive timelines. o Manage project schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies. * Deployment Supervision o Lead and supervise partner teams during installation of copper, fiber, and InfiniBand cabling. o Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and quality control throughout the deployment process. o Monitor progress and resolve technical or operational issues promptly. * Standards & Best Practices o Establish and maintain cabling standards, documentation templates, and operational best practices for large-scale programs. o Drive continuous improvement in deployment methodologies and partner performance.
