You will work as an Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) - DevOps Engineer for the Virtual Devices Team following Scaled Agile Framework. You will be involved in running, operating, and developing the AVD Environment which supports over 5000 users from various geographies around the world. The AVD environment consist of Single and Multisession AVDs which is managed from Azure Portal and Infrastructure as a Code with DevOps CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Azure CLI, ARM Templates and PowerShell Scripts. You will also need to support and maintain the Windows environment and related infra (Group Policies, OU, Application Configuration, patching etc.) which is provided in AVD. You are also expected to participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and cross skilling the Team comprising of Junior SMEs. Key Responsibilities; * Running, operating, and developing the AVD Environment * Maintain and Manage Windows Environment hosted in AVD * Maintain and Manage policies/configuration which supports AVD * Maintain and Manage applications hosted in AVD * Develop and execute Infrastructure as a Code pipelines using Terraform and PowerShell * Maintaining and Managing CI/CD Pipelines via GitHub Repos. * Develop competency in the team and cross skill junior SMEs Key Skills & Experience: * In-depth understanding of the Azure and AVD architecture including good understanding of AVD design best practices and Migration best practices. * High proficiency in Management, Configuration and Deployment best practices of Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). * Highly Proficient in configuring and managing Resource Pool, Host Groups, Images, Apps and User Access * Highly proficient in configuring user customization through FSlogix * Good Understanding of Virtual Desktop and Application strategies and best practices * Proficient in Windows Operating System principals, Group Policy Management, PowerShell and Application Troubleshooting. * Sound knowledge of Cloud Computing Fundamentals and Azure Desirable: * Hands on Experience of Azure DevOps, CI/CD Pipelines, Managing GitHub Repos, ARM Templates, Azure CLI, Terraform and PowerShell * Understanding of Agile frameworks like SCRUM * Good Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, and customer responsiveness * Working knowledge of tools like JIRA and Service Now This is an excellent opportunity on a great project of work, If you are looking for your next exciting opportunity, apply now for your CV to reach me directly, we will respond as soon as possible. In this context, we are 2 teams of information system architects and software developers working together with business colleagues to analyze, design, develop, maintain and support several products. •Kiwi enables to exploit the flexibility of many small assets and to offer demand-side management services. It is connected to these assets with an edge device or through an API. •Real-time asset services ensure notably the real-time aFRR steering and the real-time data collection from the assets. The primary focus of the present mission is real-time asset services. •aFRR dispatcher receives every 2 to 4 seconds the aFRR amount requested by the TSO (= grid operator), calculates in real-time the optimal allocation towards the aFRR bids and power assets (batteries, renewable parks, power plants in general) and sends every 2 to 4 seconds the individual setpoints to the concerned connectivity solutions. •TimeFlux connects the physical reality of power assets to forecasters and optimizers. Concretely, it collects and processes the real-time data from power assets, with a low-latency streaming architecture, and exposes it to other software systems in the organization (e.g., forecasters, optimizers). •GENCO connects the software systems with the industrial SCADA systems. Main activities As a software developer, you will contribute with the team to all activities: -Clarify with functional analysts and with domain experts. -Design technically and make architectural proposals, documented in diagrams, including APIs, services, front-end and back-end interactions. -Subdivide the proposal into agile progressive development upgrades. -Implement builds and associated testing and maintenance tools. -Develop back-end services and APIs. -Write tests in collaboration with business colleagues. -Document and develop user manuals. -Provide user assistance and support. -Monitor systems and provide level 2 support, incident resolution, and troubleshooting (root causes of recurring incidents). Hard Skills Required: at least 4+ years of software engineering on software solutions with complex technical features. The following do NOT count: web sites, digitalized workflows, database-oriented applications, enterprise CRUD applications. Education: a master as polytechnic engineer is a strong plus. The following abilities are required: - Proficiency in C# -Hands-on experience with Azure cloud (if experience with AWS cloud, willingness to learn & switch to Azure) and ideally Kubernetes/AKS (deployment, autoscaling) -Hands-on experience in developing and operating event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Event Hub, MQTT and/or Azure Service Bus) and distributed systems -Strong testing culture: unit tests, integration tests, and production validation -Production-grade observability: metrics, logging, alerting (Grafana, Prometheus, or equivalent) -Familiarity with agile development practices -PostgreSQL, Redis -CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Continuous Deployment -Experience with one of these technologies is a plus: oScala (for KiWi cloud) oRust (for KiWi edge) oPython (to collaborate with other teams and to refactor some Python code to C#).
