Programme Manager – Milton Keynes Our Client is looking to recruit a Programme Manager with at least 10 years experience in IT having come up the ranks. Formal Prince 2 / Agile / PMP or similar qualifications to Practitioner level. A minimum of 7 to 10 years broad based project management experience – from implementing applications to infrastructure. Must have experience of the full project lifecycle from business engagement, ideation and planning, through delivery (design, build, test) to implementation Keen, enthusiastic and outgoing personality with the ability to engage with the user community and management. There will be some UK travel required and international travel is possible in future. The base for this assignment will be Milton Keynes with travel to sites in the UK and Asia. Contract assignment duration will be 6 months initially. The rate will be circa £600 to £750 per day dependent on experience– although the Client may go higher exceptional candidates. I am currently supporting an insurance client of mine who are looking to bring on a senior programme manager on an initial 12 month contract with scope extension sitting inside IR35 paying up £830 per day via an umbrella company. You will be required to go into the London office 2 days a week. Experience within general insurance or speciality insurance would be a nice to have. You will be responsible for: Managing and Leading the Cutover Framework and Process for onboardings. Preforming checkpoints with Programme and Project Managers highlighting areas of focus to ensure delivery Go-Live dates are maintained Apply a cutover-focused reporting lens, tracking launch risk readiness & decisions in build up to cutover Monitor and report on progress against the cutover plan and launch risk readiness Maintain a standard launch risk readiness checklist, monitor & communicate readiness via dashboards Develop detailed cutover plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource requirements. Essential Skills: Experience leading Infrastructure & Operations projects, with good oversight of Technologies across the Networks, Workplace and Data Centres disciplines. Key Responsibilities Bid & Pre Sales Delivery Leadership * Lead the end-to-end design of Transition & Transformation (T&T) and Agile programmes during bids and proposals. * Own the T&T / Agile programme plan, including schedules, gating, staffing, governance structures, and delivery methodology. * Produce the programme costing, ensuring alignment to volumetrics, solution strategy, and validated historical benchmarks. * Create the dependency matrix, ensuring all dependencies are clearly articulated and owned across delivery and solution teams. * Capture and maintain all Risks, Issues, Assumptions and Dependencies (RAID) for the programme. * Conduct and report on due diligence, including technical, operational, commercial, and customer-side constraints.
