Data Architect - Maritime Architecture Baseline - Outside IR35 - Hybrid Must have an active DV You will identify where information flow, data quality, and system integration impact operational decision making, transforming these challenges into practical data models, standards, and integration solutions. You will help shape the Maritime Architecture Baseline (MAB), support the wider Maritime Framework (MFW) transformation programme, and enable the Digital Warfighter (DTW) programme through trusted, high-quality data architecture. Data Architect Responsibilities Work closely with operational users to understand mission-critical data requirements and challenges. Identify data friction points, integration opportunities, and improvements across operational systems. Develop common targeting data models, data standards, and integration patterns. Map systems, data ownership, information flows, and dependencies. Improve data quality, trust, accessibility, and interoperability across multiple platforms. Support the identification of opportunities for automation, AI, and advanced analytics. Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders to shape the Maritime Architecture Baseline (MAB) and support the wider Maritime Framework (MFW) and Digital Warfighter (DTW) programmes. Produce practical, implementable data architecture that delivers measurable operational benefit. Data Architect Skills and Experience Proven experience as a Data Architect within complex Defence or enterprise environments. Strong experience designing data models, integration patterns, and data standards. Experience working with the Maritime Architecture Baseline (MAB). This is essential. Understanding of the Maritime Framework (MFW) programme and Digital Warfighter (DTW) concepts would be highly advantageous. Experience mapping complex information flows, system dependencies, and data ownership. Strong understanding of data governance, interoperability, and master data principles. Experience working with operational users to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Knowledge of AI, automation, and data exploitation technologies. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and delivery-focused approach. Experience within Defence, intelligence, maritime, or mission-critical environments would be highly advantageous.
