Developer with Findur, SQL and Java - Application Support - City London Our Client is an International Bank with offices in the City of London. They are now looking to recruit a Senior Developer with Openlink's Findur, SQL and Java. Although the role is for an individual to develop and support the Treasury applications systems for the bank. You will be working MS SQL Server be supporting the London and Global Treasury Applications and Systems along with Openlinks Findur treasury system. As MS SQL Server DBA with Application Support you will be involved with developing and implementing solutions for London and Global Treasury Systems requirements. Must have Findur with Java and JVS development skills. Ensure the integrity, security and accuracy of production database environment, ensuring good performance of the dependent applications. Plan and implement operating procedures for backup of database and recovery of database information. Develop database-related application development standards covering database creation, software placement, storage and auditing. Ensures the integrity of the recovery system at all times. Initiates formal testing of the recovery system. Develops database procedures as necessary to enhance the application suite as required. Responds to, resolves and documents support calls for the production and test applications. Maintains to a high standard documentation supporting the build, maintenance and operational procedures of the database environment. Acts as the technical liaison between database operations and vendor support. Performs other related duties as assigned. You must have at least 2 to 5 years solid expertise as a MS SQL Server DBA 2005 and 2008 coupled with Java development and support. You must have the Microsoft SQL Server Administration (Enterprise Edition) experience. High Level T-SQL programming (SP, Functions, Triggers). Operation, design and implementation experience of Mirroring, Log Shipping and SQL Server Replication. SQL Reporting services and Analysis services maintenance and tuning. Good understanding of WINTEL environment with AD domain and user administration. OpenLink Findur Treasury Application would be handy but not a must. Change management concepts and application Configuration and operation of clustered database Servers using external storage. Scripting stored procedures. Security concepts of database management.Change management concepts and application. The role will be to work as a MS SQL DBA with an element of supporting financial applications development with SQL Server and Java. The financial applications include Openlink's Findur product and Sungard's Panorama system - you will be trained in this. The Client is keen to recruit an individual who has experience of Findur and in particular Openlink's scripting language AVS - but this is NOT a must as you will be trained in the use of Findur. Desirable Experience of ServiceNow Integration experience Experience with Kelverion Integration Packs would be advantageous. Experience with SQL Always On Availability Groups, Hyper-V Replica or highly available SCORCH architectures would be beneficial. VMware PowerCLI, virtualisation, hybrid Data Centre or wider infrastructure automation experience would be advantageous. End-User Computing Support Provide advanced desktop, laptop, printer, Mobile device (iOS) and branch office IT support. Deliver AV support for meeting rooms, conferencing, presentations, and collaboration systems. Manage OS deployment, imaging, image creation, maintenance, and software packaging. Administer Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and user provisioning and NTFS permissions. Support Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Resolve technical incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs. Enterprise Applications & Financial Systems Support Support and administer business-critical applications, including: Bloomberg FXT and Refinitiv Eikon, Murex Treasury System, SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA), 1AML, SIBS, GFMS, COP Support enterprise file synchronization and replication solutions (e.g., Syncovery, other SFTP). Networking Configure and support Cisco switches and routers. Administer FortiGate firewall environments. Strong network fundamentals: DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing and connectivity troubleshooting. Monitor network performance, availability, and security posture. Security & Endpoint Management Support vulnerability management using tools such as Tenable. Manage security monitoring and log analysis tools (e.g., Splunk). Perform SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management using OpenSSL. Create and manage CSRs, certificate chains, and private keys. Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Support physical access control systems (e.g., Paxton) Governance, Documentation & Process Improvement Develop, maintain, and enforce IT policies, standards, and operational procedures. Produce system architecture diagrams, technical documentation, SOP's, and performance reports. Identify and drive opportunities for automation and service improvement. Support technology planning, infrastructure modernization, and transformation initiatives. Our government client is looking for Data Engineers to begin ASAP. Please see below for role description and details. - Hybrid, 2 days per week on site in Swansea, Wales - Inside IR35 - SC clearance required - 3-6 months initially + longer extensions expected Role details: To migrate legacy IMPALA reporting (Oracle materialised views and Discoverer workbooks) to Databricks Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines. The work involves translating existing SQL logic into a lakehouse architecture, building reconciliation checks to validate output against the legacy system, and supporting the pipelines once live. It is mostly SQL knowledge but some familiarity with Python on Databricks (in Azure) will be beneficial. Source data is already available in Databricks - you would be working with tables in Unity Catalog, not managing data ingestion or connectivity.
