Notre client dans le secteur Énergie et ressources naturelles recherche un/une Senior SCADA Software Engineer H/F Description de la mission : Profile – Senior SCADA Software Engineer Context and objective Join a Realtime Industrial Solutions team working on a business-critical SCADA system operating 24/7 to keep a power perimeter balanced across Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, while supporting the transition to zero-carbon energy. The team develops tools for the real-time control of power plants, the integration of flexibility assets, and compliance with European grid codes. The tools are mainly used to: - Monitor production assets and available capacities from power plants - Exchange information between TSOs and the real-time SCADA system (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) - Calculate real-time setpoints to send to power plants in order to keep the power perimeter balanced, based on production plans, real-time acquisition, and other inputs such as FCR, aFRR, and mFRR - Support similar balancing mechanisms across several European countries Technical environment - Main application: Hitachi ABB MicroSCADA SYS600 version X / Hitachi Energy MicroSCADA X - Backend language within MicroSCADA: SCIL (Supervisory Control Implementation Language) - Frontend: web-based, using proprietary frontend capabilities based on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript Main responsibilities - Develop and maintain the SCADA X application used to keep the power perimeter in balance - Work on both frontend and backend development using SCIL, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript - Apply architectural design principles to build scalable and robust solutions - Apply software craftsmanship principles such as SOLID, DRY, KISS, and YAGNI to produce clean, maintainable, and resilient code - Collaborate in an Agile/SAFe environment with analysts, dispatchers, and technical teams - Contribute to on-call support after onboarding to ensure system availability and grid stability in a 24/7 business-critical environment Requested profile - Master's degree with a specialization in IT and/or electrical engineering, such as software, electronics, or electromechanics - At least 3 years of relevant experience - Strong industrial mindset combined with a high level of software engineering, including architecture and design patterns - Understanding of the basics of electricity production and grid transport - Proactive and structured approach, with attention to resilient solutions supporting 24/7 operations - Ability to react quickly to incidents, provide quick fixes when necessary, and implement sustainable corrections afterward - Motivation to work in a team responsible for real-time activities - Team player able to interact with peers, analysts, architects, business representatives, and other teams - Ability to self-learn and take initiatives to improve the environment and practices - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to address both technical and non-technical audiences, internally and externally Technical expectations - Knowledge of programming fundamentals - SCIL development for the backend - Web development for the frontend using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript - Version control and CI/CD implementation supported by GitHub - A "SYS 600 SCIL Programming Basics" training must be followed early at the start of the mission, coordinated by the consultancy company with Hitachi Energy - Awareness of cybersecurity principles in industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) environments - Compliance context includes NIS 2 regulation - The team will support ramp-up on the specific environment during the first months Work location and organization - Office based in Linkebeek, Belgium - Minimum on-site presence of 3 days per week required; work from home allowed for the remaining days depending on assignments - Flexible hours, with a workday starting no later than 09:00 and not ending before 16:00 - Frequent visits to dispatch colleagues in Brussels are part of the assignment - Short missions abroad may occur, although exceptionally - A car and driver's license are required; sporadic on-site plant visits can be part of the job Contract terms and duration - Initial estimated duration: 220 days or 1,760 hours - Possibility for a mid- to long-term commitment if strong added value is demonstrated Compétences / Qualités indispensables : SCADA / MicroSCADA X, SCIL, HTML5/CSS3/JavaScript/TypeScript, Agile / SAFe, Software architecture and craftsmanship, ICS/OT cybersecurity Compétences / Qualités qui seraient un + : /Informations concernant le télétravail : Oui — 2 jours/semaine
