Description de la mission :

Context

An energy markets analysis team produces fundamental analysis and economic studies to support trading and portfolio management activities. In this dynamic environment, the team combines energy market expertise, quantitative analysis and data science.

A time-series management platform has been implemented to address scalability, access to high-quality data, data discovery and governance requirements. Built on a modern data architecture, it is supported by a team of data experts working in an agile environment with business stakeholders and a data governance team. The team is looking to strengthen its capabilities to support the expansion of the platform.

Mission

Develop and maintain the platform’s data pipelines and services while ensuring data quality, governance, reliability and accessibility. The role also involves supporting business users and continuously improving the platform in collaboration with the relevant teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and services on AWS using Python

• Ensure data quality through validation, cleansing, standardization and monitoring

• Manage data governance, metadata and data lifecycle processes

• Support user onboarding, provide training and resolve data-related issues

• Ensure data reliability and discoverability, as well as operational excellence

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and the data governance team to continuously improve the platform and its capabilities

• Provide production support and contribute to data integration and monitoring

Technical Environment

• Cloud & Development: AWS, Python

• Data: Big Data architecture and technologies, data management systems, time-series systems

• Practices: Agile methodology, DevOps

Required Profile

Experience

• Experience in data engineering, with Python expertise assessed at 8 years and AWS experience of 8 to 10 years

• Experience in Big Data architecture and technologies and data management systems, assessed at more than 10 years

• Experience with complex information systems, business processes and software development, assessed at 8 to 10 years

• Experience in DevOps and commodity markets, particularly gas and electricity, assessed at 3 to 5 years

• Experience providing business user support in a production environment

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in data engineering with Python and AWS

• Strong knowledge of Data Management, data quality and data governance

• Experience in data integration, monitoring and production support

Personal Skills

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

• Analytical mindset and user-oriented approach

• Proactive mindset, ability to take initiative within one’s scope of responsibility and strong problem-solving orientation

Languages

• English, expert level indicated in the document
