Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership & Ownership: * Own the technical delivery model for LAN services, maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and the customer. * Serve as the primary technical liaison between, driving strategic discussions and complex changes. * Work closely with the customer to understand their operational needs and deliver tailored technical solutions. Availability, Performance and Capacity * Bring rigour to management of technical risks to the availability of the service, including performance, capacity, and the configuration and improvement of the tools we use to monitor and manage the service. We have an urgent requirement for a Linked Open Data Technical Architect on an initial 6 month FTC. This will be a rolling fixed term contract which could run until August 2029. The role is hybrid working with at least 1 day a week onsite in York. the Linked Open Data Technical Architect will join a team of developers and engineers who are working on new projects and improving existing services. This role will have a specific responsibility for designing and implementing a new knowledge graph platform to underpin national and international portals. Role Specific Responsibilities ● To design to design and develop a knowledge graph for archaeology and heritage and conservation science. ● To design and deploy knowledge graph pipeline software. ● To install and maintain a Graph database to underpin national and international heritage and heritage science data portals. ● Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain knowledge graph databases for intelligence analysis purposes. ● Develop data models and ontologies to represent entities, relationships, and attributes within the knowledge graph. ● Optimise query performance and implement indexing strategies to enhance database retrieval and analysis capabilities. ● To act as Technical lead for Linked Open Data projects and liaise with external partners to ensure the project(s) is completed to quality & timescales.
