Contractor job Workday Extend Expert

Our client is looking for a Workday Extend Expert to join their team on a six month initial contract, working hybrid out of their site in Norwich.


They are seeking a skilled Workday Extend Expert to support a client in designing, building, and deploying custom Workday Extend applications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical expertise along with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with both technical and functional stakeholders.


This role is pivotal in enabling long-term self-sufficiency for the client's Workday development capability and will also include a strong mentorship component, where the candidate will work closely with internal teams to guide them on Workday Extend best practices.


Essential skills/knowledge/experience:


• Hands-on experience with Workday Extend (minimum 1-2 projects delivered).
• Strong understanding of Workday's object model and XPaths.
• Proficiency in Workday Studio and Workday Integration tools (e.g., EIB, Core Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs).
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and JavaScript or a similar language.
• Familiarity with Workday security model, including domain and business process security policies.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and web service integration.
• Effective communication and documentation skills, especially in mentoring or training settings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
