About the Role They are seeking an experienced Senior System & Cloud Engineer to reinforce their infrastructure team and contribute to the continuous evolution of their internal and client platforms. You will be involved in the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of virtualized, cloud, and hybrid environments, ensuring high availability and performance standards. This role combines technical leadership, operational excellence, and architecture design , giving you the opportunity to influence both day-to-day operations and long-term strategy. Key Responsibilities Serve as a technical lead and point of reference for system engineering initiatives. Design, deploy, and operate shared and dedicated infrastructures built on VMware, Linux, Docker, Veeam , and modern storage technologies (including object storage). Develop tailored infrastructure architectures, integrating compute, storage, and backup components according to client requirements. Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as Kubernetes, Proxmox, S3-compatible storage, automation tools, observability stacks, and enhanced security frameworks . Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve complex issues. Collaborate with network, security, and service delivery teams to ensure cohesive and secure solutions. Participate in technical design reviews and pre-sales discussions to support project scoping and solution definition. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs, configurations, and operational procedures. Mentor junior engineers , encouraging knowledge sharing and adherence to best practices. Take part in the on-call rotation to manage critical incidents when required. Profile and Experience 5+ years of hands-on experience in system or cloud infrastructure engineering . Strong expertise with VMware virtualization platforms (experience in a service provider context is a plus). Advanced knowledge of Linux administration , including scripting and automation ( Bash, Python, Ansible ). Experience with Veeam backup and recovery solutions . Solid understanding of enterprise storage technologies (SAN/NAS, block and object). Familiarity with container technologies (Docker) and exposure to Kubernetes orchestration . Knowledge of Proxmox or other open-source virtualization systems is advantageous. Fluency in English (spoken and written); French is considered an asset.
