Job title: HR Advisor

Location: Glasgow - Govan/Scotstoun - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

Salary: Circa £46,000 (dependent on skills and experience)

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide HR support in a manufacturing, unionised, project-based organisation

  • Providing operational advice on a range of people issues; including Absence Management, Talent, Performance Management, Organisational Design and Restructuring and organisational health

  • Act as the first point of contact for all people related issues and support and coach line managers on their people management responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of a key organisational design and restructure programme across the business

  • Supports the analysis of Naval Ships people data, to benchmark and to implement short and long term solutions that improve performance

  • Work closely with and provide to support to HR Managers and report into the Head of HR

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • Previous generalist HR advisory/Business Partner experience within a large organisation

  • Experience of coaching an influencing line leaders

  • MS Office proficiency

Desirable:

  • Organisational design and restructuring experience including redundancy

  • Experience in partnering with business leaders to support the delivery of their people plans

  • Experience in supporting and coaching line manager on cyclical people management activities e.g. reward review, performance management, talent management

Naval Ships HR team:

You will be part of the Naval Ships HR team who support our Programmes and Functions and Projects. We are currently building 8 Type 26 frigates here in Glasgow and also have two international programmes in Australia and Canada. The team work very closely with their stakeholder areas in a fast paced and challenging environment focused on delivery of a high-quality complex product to cost and schedule for our customers

We are currently reviewing our organisation design to ensure that we are fit for the future, and you may have the opportunity to support the development of the overall plan and preparation for the implementation phase of this programme and then follow this through into deployment
