We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Recovery and Data Integration Specialist with deep expertise in Superna and Dell PowerScale technologies. This role will focus on integrating PowerScale data into an existing Dell Vault environment (based on Data Domain and Cyber Recovery Manager) using Superna Eyeglass software. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Superna-driven workflows, PowerScale architecture, and Cyber Recovery solutions. The resilient, secure and cost-effective provision and operation of UKHSA’s Workplace offer, including productivity tools (Microsoft 365) and end user compute services. This includes managing windows end user devices and windows servers operating system lifecycle (Gold image, software packaging, updates and upgrades). Provision and management of identity and access management services (Microsoft Entra). Networking services including LAN, WAN, WiFi and secure access capability. Includes managing connectivity of IoT and laboratory scientific equipment (including IACS) secure connectivity to UKHSA WAN and relevant LANs. IT service management (ITSM), including common 1st and 2nd line support functions, as well as delivery design and management, and continual service improvement. Putting in place the capability, technical architecture, and services to support the delivery of UKHSA’s strategy in relation to the above functions. Overarching accountability for stability, resilience, and security of the Technology Services estate across UKHSA, as well as it’s compliance with all relevant internal and external policies & standards. Setting the direction for Technology Services development and delivery of the related Technology strategy, including how the teams should work with major Programmes (for example, the Trust Programme, which is driving improved compliance with DSPT-CAF). Overarching accountability for Technology Services delivery of software and infrastructure platforms, products, technical operations, and development. Leading on the procurement, supply and negotiation of Technology Services goods and services for UKHSA, in conjunction with legal and procurement professionals, as appropriate. Accountable for managing and controlling the life cycle of all Technology Services related products / platforms / infrastructure, in line with the Enterprise Architecture. Leading and develop UKHSA’s technology capability, giving clear guidance on priorities and generating commitment to the wider goals of the organisation. Accountable for the quality of technology’s products, platforms, infrastructure, services etc. Adopting a portfolio view, managing end-to-end services, which include multiple products and channels. Operating at scale and provide the connection between multidisciplinary business areas and stakeholders. Key Skills: · Technical o Advance SQL querying skills, ability to write complex SSRS formulas o In-depth knowledge of MS SQL Server and experience to deliver MI and reporting solutions using the entire spectrum of the MI solutions (SSIS, SSRS, Power BI) ideally on early versions (2013/2016) and assist the organisation to migrate to later versions. o Exposure and high-level understanding of the SSAS and MDX language (although the organisation currently does not use OLAP). o Good exposure to PowerBI and advance knowledge of DAX (query language) and data modelling using this tool. o Good working knowledge of Excel capability, use of the reporting purposes, and formulas; desired VBA skills to optimise the data presentation. o Ideally, working knowledge of Hyperion/Essbase. o Working knowledge of SharePoint and its use to manage the MI, automate MI and reporting workflow, information and report distribution. o Good working practice designing data collections by using Kimball methodology. · Non-technical: o Practical understanding of the Data Visualisation techniques and principles. o High-level understanding of the data management and its impact on organisation’s bottom line. o Stakeholder management and interpersonal skills to understand the business requirements, link them to a business narrative and softly guide SME by delivering the requested MI. o Some understanding of the architectural principles, Agile methodology to engage users and deliver business solutions. o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and narrative to business audience and non-technical teams.
