Job title: Android Developer Location: London (hybrid) Contract: 1 year Day rate: £383 IR35: Inside Overview We are seeking talented Android Developers to join a high-performing engineering team delivering innovative mobile solutions. This opportunity is ideal for early-career developers with strong coding capabilities who are passionate about mobile development and modern software engineering practices. This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications using modern development tools and frameworks. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to create high-quality, scalable, and maintainable mobile applications while contributing to all stages of the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities * Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications. * Build robust and scalable mobile solutions using Kotlin and Android Studio. * Develop user-focused applications in line with Android design principles and interface guidelines. * Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, developers, and testers to deliver high-quality solutions. * Apply MVVM architecture and established design patterns to create maintainable codebases. * Implement SOLID principles to improve code quality, scalability, and maintainability. * Contribute to code reviews and promote engineering best practices. * Support continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes. * Troubleshoot and resolve application issues throughout the development lifecycle. * Maintain a DevOps mindset, understanding how software and infrastructure interact to support production systems. * Stay current with emerging Android technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices. * Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and drive technical solutions within your domain. Required Skills & Experience * Strong experience developing Android applications using Kotlin. * Proficiency with Android Studio and the Android development ecosystem. * Good understanding of Android design principles and user interface guidelines. * Experience implementing MVVM architecture and associated design patterns. * Strong understanding of SOLID principles and clean coding practices. * Knowledge of Android application lifecycle management. * Experience collaborating within Agile software development teams. * Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery processes. * Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Desirable Skills * Understanding of the Android compilation and build process. * Knowledge of how source code is transformed into executable applications. * Experience or exposure to FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources). * Understanding of memory management concepts, including garbage collection and reference management. * Experience working within DevOps environments. * Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices. Vous participerez au développement et à la validation d'ECU Airbag, des calculateurs embarqués qui pilotent les systèmes d'airbags et de retenue des occupants. Vous travaillerez en lien étroit avec les équipes hardware, software, système, validation et industrialisation, de la définition de l'architecture jusqu'à la qualification des cartes électroniques. Vos missions : - Concevoir l'architecture électronique des calculateurs Airbag et contribuer aux choix techniques. - Développer des cartes analogiques et numériques, à partir des exigences et contraintes du système. - Réaliser les études de faisabilité, les analyses techniques et la sélection des composants. - Saisir les schémas électroniques et suivre le routage des cartes PCB. - Définir les plans de validation et de qualification des cartes et sous-ensembles. - Réaliser les essais fonctionnels, électriques et environnementaux, puis analyser les résultats. - Identifier les écarts, piloter les plans d'action correctifs et contribuer aux analyses de défaillance (8D, RCA, FMEA). - Collaborer avec les équipes software, système, hardware et industrialisation pour assurer la cohérence de la solution. - Contribuer à la conformité des produits aux exigences de qualité et de sécurité automobile.
