Job Title: Senior Software Developer Location: Staplehurst, Kent (Please note that candidates must live within a 20 mile radius to apply) Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 (dependent on experience) Job Type: Permanent/ Full time About Us: Burtons Manufacturing Co Ltd. is a veterinary equipment manufacturer based in Staplehurst, Kent. Established in 1981 Burtons has been supplying the veterinary industry with a full range of products for over 40 years. Fundamental to the provision of safe anaesthesia is the support of well-designed ventilation and patient monitoring equipment. Burtons have a range of products designed specifically for veterinary use, with embedded or mainstream operating system software running mainly on Windows PC's or Linux platforms. About the role: Due to the growth of the company and range of products, Burtons require an experienced programmer to expand the development team. Burtons are looking for an experienced programmer well versed in Windows and Linux software development using predominantly C++, but also C#, .NET and web-based programming languages. The role will involve working on user-interface software for the control of mechanical ventilators and the monitoring of patients under anaesthesia. Burtons have a combination of electronic and clinically skilled personnel within the company driving forward new advances in animal ventilation and monitoring techniques. Burtons would like to expand the current software into hand-held mobile devices. This role reports directly to the Production Director. Duties and Responsibilities: This is a senior role requiring proven skills and abilities; please note this role is not suitable for applicants requiring further training/mentoring. Work with existing programmers on developing new product code for Windows and Linux platforms. Current C++ projects include new animal ventilators, new Multi-Parameter patient monitors and a new ventilator simulation system. Be involved in the creation of new C++ software from scratch, matched to the requirements of new products. Support existing code in legacy products (C++ and C#) by responding to customer reports and identified software defects. Support the development team with university and internal research projects. Work with the development team to expand the platform usage of existing software to include hand-held devices such as tablets and mobile phones. Demonstrate a desire to take ownership of own work and maintain excellent attention to detail. Work across departments to provide bespoke software solutions About you: Primary: Minimum 5 years' experience of developing applications using Windows Visual Studio Well versed in predominantly C++ and C, with experience of C#, and .NET Strong experience of working with Windows and Linux operating systems Ability to adopt ownership of responsibility for a project, to oversee meeting of deadlines and project objective. Our Client are looking for a SC cleared C++ Software Engineer to join a busy team. The projects are typically focused on communications and analytics, targeting a variety of platforms from bare-metal through to large-scale Android and Linux deployments. We're looking for developers who thrive on diverse requirements, capable of jumping from front-end design to embedded platform development throughout their working week. Much of the existing work uses C++, with a strong understanding of languages such as Python, C, Kotlin, JavaScript and Rust, would be great. The team focuses on user-driven applications, often involving bespoke hardware solutions. While not required, the best candidates are those with strong fundamentals in Radio Frequency (RF) communications and a desire to learn more. Due to the nature of the work, this position requires candidates to be working full time onsite a minimum of 4 days per week. Key Responsibilities - Designing a new clean-slate product with complete autonomy over its architecture. - Adding new capabilities to, or replacing a core component of, an existing product. - Throwing together a quick-and-dirty prototype to confirm the feasibility of a proposed technical approach; iterating until it meets requirements. Au sein du Pôle applicatif de la DSI, l'ingénieur Sénior Azure spécialiste Observabilité Azure et CRM, aide l'équipe CRM, mais également les équipes Infrastructures IT, à comprendre les métriques remontées par le système d'observabilité de la CRM Microsoft (AppInsight et Dynatrace) et de l'écosystème Azure afin de diagnostiquer des problèmes de performance. AppInsight est en place, et Dynatrace est en cours d'implémentation. Notre client utilise actuellement un MS Dynamics 365, dont certaines fonctions métier sont implémentées dans des Azure Functions appelées par des pages Angular. Le tout est terraformé, sécurisé et respecte les bonnes pratiques MS dans Azure (Azure API Management notamment). Nos utilisateurs nous remontent des lenteurs non systématiques, non reproductibles, d'intensité variables, mais souvent sur une plage 9h30-11h et 14h30-16h. Ces lenteurs peuvent concerner aussi bien l'utilisation de la CRM proprement dite que l'utilisation des fonctionnalités métiers accessibles par le chemin : Utilisateur -> Angular -> AzureFonction -> CRM Nous avons besoin d'un spécialiste pour nous aider à comprendre d'où peuvent provenir les ralentissements, sans se limiter à la CRM et à son écosystème, mais en incluant également toutes les dimensions d'Azure, des Webservice, les réseaux et les postes de travail. Les activités dominantes de l'ingénieur Sr Azure spécialiste Observabilité Azure et CRM sont les suivantes : 1. Savoir exploiter les informations relevées par AppInsight afin de diagnostiquer l'optimisation à réaliser par les équipes CRM dans une optique d'optimisation de performance.2. Savoir exploiter le RUM de AppInsight/Dynatrace pour en tirer des métriques pertinentes 3. Savoir exploiter la métrologie remontée par Dynatrace au fur et à mesure de sa mise en place 4.
