Project Engineering Support BTGJP00006133 £265 per day Inside IR35 Location: Birmingham Security: NA Until: 11/01/2027 Initially Supporting the Technical Delivery Specialist and reporting into the Engineering Enablement manager managing all site Call offs to SLAs and KPIs including resolving all shortages, asset swaps as well as supporting the wider team in support of managing Assets in the Process reviews and creation of new The Technical delivery Specialist drives the delivery of excellence in customer service through the tactical delivery of issue resolution in parallel with a focus on activities and programmes that enhance customer facing engineering capabilities. What you'll be doing? Responsible for supporting the site call off process (shortages, Asset Swaps, DOAs) within agreed SLAs and KPIs from beginning-to-end pulling in subject matter experts when needed to support sites Support along with others the creation of new processes and the updating existing processes to bring up to date Supplier management- constantly working with 3PL to ensure that assets are managed and delivered to exacting standards Support the Network Delivery team on other workstreams and projects as and when required. Weekly / Monthly requirement of reporting of all call offs received to capture Right first time call offs and share with senior management team and the wider network logistics team as required Support the Outbound and Reverse Supply Chain Manager where required helping bespoke activities as needed Working with asset Management provider (Tracktrans )and the Outbound and Returns to drive long term sustainable business performance improvement, by identifying, designing and implementing opportunities to improve. Manage the resolution of critical customer escalations contributing to high standards of customer delivery. Ensure fulfillment of delivery requirements of operational targets within the team to Promote strong working relationships with other teams in the mobile deployment area. Role Title: SQL - Oracle Database Administrator Location: Manchester / Barrow - 3 days onsite/week Duration: 6 initial months contract Rate INSIDE IR35 MARKET RATE SC Cleared Role Description: * Focusing on scalability, integrity, performance, availability, security, monitoring and troubleshooting of core DB clusters * Owning core database clusters in Production as well as on a wide range of technologies * Reporting into the Operations Manager and working alongside the Senior DBA * Oracle schema object sizing. * Monitor data block organisation. * Monitor physical storage and contention. * Monitor tablespace utilization * Memory usage. * Physical I/O tuning. * Lock monitoring. * Database resource utilization. * Alert log, Backup status * Database free space. * Performance tuning ratios * Check Invalid objects * Monitor build-up of trace files. * Monitor growth of alert logs. * Purge log and trace files, which are no longer required. * Database Monitoring * Cache (Buffer Cache, Library Cache, Dictionary Cache) hit/miss ratios * Point in time database recovery, using on-line redo logs. * Provide advice during database restoration following a crash or media failure. * Monitor Archive log retention period for database recoverability and highlight issues / limitations. * Ensure database changes are reflected into the backup strategy. Technology Planning and Governance Manager Be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of the technology alignment roadmap for Corporate working closely with senior stakeholders, systems owners and 3 parties to deliver innovation. Lead day-to-day support and management of the core business Applications Portfolio lifecycle including but not limited to Finance, Legal, Property, Pensions, Treasury, HR, Business Development, Payroll and our Corporate Intranet ensuring that delivery of change is fit for purpose, of high quality, reliable and secure. Role Responsibilities Drive customer-centricity and stakeholder engagement, work closely with Corp functions to align application roadmaps with the combined Corp IT / SSC annual technology plans and dependencies. Work with senior stakeholders to build, document and map business capability to solution architecture across the Corp. Take ownership and develop a technology roadmap that meets the application requirements of the Corp to support the wider Company businesses. Evaluate the potential impacts of application workloads moving to cloud, notwithstanding the threats and opportunities for Corp functions. Shape, create and present business cases for high level initiatives, seek approval, funding and prioritisation with senior stakeholders. Understand the capital allocation requirement across the Corp functions plus the overall impact of application change on the operational expenditure budget. Align technology roadmaps and annual budget planning, use as the foundation for reporting on the state of the Corp Application portfolio. Provide technical leadership for Corp initiatives engaging across the Company where corporate applications service the wider businesses. Solve complex business problems with process and technology that cut across Corp group such as Identity and Access Management. Experience Required Significant and relevant progressive IT experience Experience of being in a practical solution planning and technical architecture design role is essential e.g. SaaS, Identity and Access Management Good understanding of emerging and innovative technologies, how to shape, deliver and leverage those technologies Experience of architecture business capability mapping, data management governance, technology roadmaps and project delivery lifecycle processes. Experience of ensuring compliance between corporate business application roadmaps and IT roadmaps. Experience of working within an ITIL service management environment with strong knowledge of business systems or applications within a corporate environment. Ability to deal with and manage conflicts whilst building successful business relationships across a range of stakeholder groups both internal and external to the organisation.
