Job title: Data & AI Product Owner Contract Length: 1 year Location: London (hybrid) IR35: Inside Sector: Oil & Gas / Energy Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Data & AI Product Owner with a strong consulting mindset to lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of AI-powered data products and enterprise data platform capabilities. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology, identify high-value AI opportunities, define product roadmaps, and drive adoption of Data & AI solutions that create measurable business outcomes. This role requires deep experience in Product Management, AI/GenAI, Data Analytics, Data Platforms, Stakeholder Engagement, and Digital Transformation. The candidate should be capable of advising senior business leaders on how AI can transform processes, improve productivity, reduce costs, and unlock new business value. Key Responsibilities * Define and own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and value realization for Data & AI products. * Partner with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize AI, GenAI, Analytics, and Automation opportunities. * Act as a trusted advisor, helping business teams translate challenges into scalable AI-driven solutions. * Drive product discovery, business case development, value estimation, and prioritization. * Lead AI use cases involving Copilot, AI Agents, RAG, Knowledge Assistants, Intelligent Automation, Predictive Analytics, and GenAI solutions. * Collaborate with Data Engineers, AI Engineers, Architects, and Business teams to deliver products aligned with business objectives. * Own product backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product releases. * Define and track KPIs, adoption metrics, business outcomes, and ROI. * Drive AI adoption, change management, and stakeholder engagement across the organization. * Ensure Responsible AI, Data Governance, Security, and Compliance principles are embedded within product design. Required Skills & Qualifications * 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Consulting, Data Analytics, or Digital Transformation. * Strong experience as a Data Product Owner, AI Product Owner, Product Manager, or Management Consultant. * Deep understanding of Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Enterprise Data Platforms. * Experience with AI ecosystems including: Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI Foundry, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Databricks Mosaic AI, MLflow, AI Agents and Knowledge Assistants * Strong knowledge of Data Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Analytics, and modern cloud data platforms. * Ability to create product strategies, business cases, investment proposals, and executive-level presentations. * Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, consulting, and communication skills. * Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Product Management, and Value Delivery frameworks. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in Commodity Trading, Supply Chain, Energy, Manufacturing, or Large Enterprise Data Programs. * Experience leading AI transformation and AI adoption initiatives. * Exposure to Prompt Engineering, AI Governance, and Responsible AI practices. * MBA or equivalent consulting experience is preferred. The CAD and Design Engineering Expert will have extensive knowledge of Fusion in-vessel components, specialising in the design, development, and optimisation of complex engineering solutions for fusion energy systems. They will be proficient in advanced 3D CAD modelling, detailed design, manufacturing drawings, and engineering analysis, with a strong understanding of in-vessel structures, remote handling requirements, high-vacuum environments, and nuclear engineering standards. They will be experienced in supporting the full product lifecycle from concept design through to manufacture, assembly, testing, and installation, while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and performance requirements. They will be a strong communicator with a proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams and deliver innovative solutions to challenging technical problems. Application Decommissioning Consultant Application Decommissioning Consultant Overview * The Application Decommissioning Consultant will lead and coordinate application decommissioning discovery activities across complex enterprise technology environments. * Act as the end-to-end discovery lead across Application, Infrastructure, Network, Database, Security, Integration and Operations workstreams. * The primary requirement is proven experience delivering application decommissioning, retirement, rationalisation or technology modernisation programmes. * Take ownership of dependency discovery, decommissioning approaches, execution strategy and the development of governance and supporting documentation. Application Decommissioning Consultant Responsibilities * Define information requirements and assessment templates across each technical workstream. * Develop and maintain an integrated Dependency Register. * Define comprehensive decommissioning Runbook templates covering technical workstreams, governance approvals and backup requirements. * Challenge and reconcile conflicting information received from different SME groups. * Define the recommended decommissioning approach for each application. * Identify prerequisites, dependencies, sequencing considerations and activities required for execution. * Develop a high-level decommissioning roadmap and execution strategy. * Review and update the Decommissioning Strategy, including governance, RACI, approval gates and success criteria. * Produce consolidated Assessment Reports and supporting discovery deliverables. * Develop the Decommissioning Entry Criteria Checklist. * Facilitate technical discovery workshops across multiple SME groups. Application Decommissioning Consultant Skills and Experience * Proven application decommissioning, retirement, rationalisation or technology modernisation experience is essential. * Experience of application/technology consulting, application rationalisation, transformation or IT Service Management experience. * Strong understanding of complex enterprise application landscapes and technical dependencies. * Experience working across Application, Infrastructure, Network, Database, Security, Integration and Operations teams. * Strong knowledge of Java/web applications, APIs, integrations and databases. * Understanding of batch processing, cloud infrastructure and network dependencies. * Knowledge of IAM, Active Directory, certificates, monitoring and operational tooling. * Strong application dependency mapping and impact assessment experience. * Experience facilitating technical workshops involving multiple SME groups. * Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. * Ability to challenge technical findings, identify gaps and reconcile conflicting information across technical workstreams.
