Desktop Support Analyst – Bank – City London We are looking to recruit a Desktop Analyst with at least 5 years experience of working in Desktop Support from 1 to 3 level in a banking environment. You ideally have experience of working within a banking environment and understanding the banking arena. Responsible for the full range of user support, including desktop and peripheral hardware support, application support, network connectivity and remote connectivity. Remote and telephone support of mobile/European users will also be required. Work within the Service Desk team in supporting and delivering all aspect of services -1/2 line support (capable of root cause analysis) -Remote branch support using Remote Assistance -Active Directory user starter/leaver process -Customer facing, support of internal banking staff, VIPs -Maintenance and support of desktops, laptops, Blackberry's -SLA targets -Ad-hoc project involvement Main skills required are: -Experience supporting desktop platforms for banking environments -Experience in operational deployments. Desktop, operating system refresh cycle -Service Desk ticket software -Market data products -ITIL, Microsoft certifications advantageous -Maintains industry recognised skills through training or self-study methods Technical Skills -Supporting Microsoft operating systems, office suite -TCP/IP, basic networking skills -Root cause analysis and remediation Technologies -Windows 7 -Office 2013 -Xenapp published applications, support -Desktop hardware, laptops, Blackberry's deployments Salary for this role will be in the region £40K - £50K. Data Analyst - Holborn London Our Client is looking to recruit a Data Analyst with at least 5 years proven experience. As a Data Analyst you will ensure that all data is processed and quality assured so that it can be analysed through appropriate systems with a view to the production of reports that can assist the Client services and other stakeholders make effective decisions and support the assessment of indicators and other business intelligence processes.. Key responsibilities: Day to day implementation and overview of the business's data strategy to ensure that organisational data is systematised with a view to optimising business intelligence and decision-making. Clear knowledge of all the data sources within the organisation, including the CRM and other information systems, and ability to work on those sources either individually, together or identify new sources that can inform effective operation. Knowledge of all relevant procedures to ensure that optimal data is used, including the cleaning, analysis and processing of data. Putting in place effective and robust systems of quality to ensure the highest integrity of data. Working with the IT department on data analysis, including developing key formulas, working with APIs and data mining, particularly through appropriate relational and other data bases, with a view to extracting the information that is needed for the growth of the organisation. Enabling the effective and accurate production of all reports, visuals, dashboards and other outputs to allow different parts of the organisation to make better individual and collective decisions. Facilitating the transformation of data to information and knowledge, and helping the different parts of the organisation to share such information and knowledge so as to maximise collaboration and the aims of the organisation. Supporting business intelligence so that the decisions are underpinned by key, effective and relevant data. Enabling the organisation to measure key performance and other indicators and score carding, and contributing to the development of metric and indicator-based systems that allow for integration and a system of continuous improvement. Collaborating with all departments including the IT department, education and training, marketing and policy and research on data usage. Minimising all data risks, security breaches, financial and other risks and working with relevant services to ensure that data is handled in a way that is compliant with relevant legislation and other frameworks. Furthering a data culture that enables the organisation to meet the needs of its stakeholders, both nationally and internationally, including its members. The following skills are Essential: Relevant higher education qualification in data analysis, including programming languages such as Python and SQL. Substantial experience working in data analysis within an organisational setting. Excellent problem solving, analytical and business intelligence skills, especially working with large datasets. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language. Ability to manage multiple projects adhering to logistics, timescales and deadlines. IT literate and experience of using MS Dynamics and Office (including Word, Excel and Outlook). Experience of using visualisation tools such as PowerBI. The Client is based in Holborn London. Business Systems Analyst – Insurance Systems A background in software development and / or Analysis either as part of an IT Department or a Software Vendor is preferable. A proven track record of delivery with the ability to 'own' projects and issues is essential. The candidate would report to the Group Operations Director or relevant Project Manager and depending on the project size, may be working alone or as part of a team. The role will often be Client facing and the ability to determine requirements, estimate costs and present completed solutions is essential. The role will often fluctuate between Analysis and Configuration to quite detailed SQL scripting and some report and system design and so it is essential that the candidate be flexible and show ability in both Business and technical areas. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with several years' experience and knowledge of the insurance industry. The purpose of the position is: 1. Ability to configure Insurance system to meet client specifications 2. Producing project feasibility reports. 3. Liaising with external clients or internal resources 4. Creation of Documentation and MIS Reports using Report Builder tools such as Crystal and MS Report Builder 5. Build SQL queries and use SQL to report on and modify databases. 6. Translating client requirements into highly specified project documents. 7. Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability. 8. Creating logical and innovative solutions to complex problems. 9. Drawing up specific proposals for modified or replacement systems. 10. Presenting proposals to clients. 11. Working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction. 12. Drawing up a testing schedules for the product / model testing 13. Being responsible for implementation of projects. 14. Planning and working flexibly to a deadline. 15. Writing user manuals. 16. Providing training to users of a new system. 17. Keeping up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments. 18. Undertakes any other related duties as may be reasonably required. The essential skills for the BSA role are: Must have experience of / a strong understanding of insurance Must have configuration skills using SQL Must have Business Analysis skills – excellent communication skills Key skills require are: 1. Proven Analysis ability 2. Strong, logical investigative skills. 3. Ability to learn and understand Insurance and Financial Applications and functionality. 4. Candidate should be able to configure software applications for Client requirements 5. Ability to understand Business and System process flows and design appropriate solutions 6. Good Verbal and written communications. 7. Must assume responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of work product. 8. Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of issues / tasks. 9. The competent use and understanding of standard office IT applications The Company is based in Romford Essex – the role will be hybrid, where you can work remotely and attend meetings at the Company's offices in the City of London or Romford several times a month.
