Contractor job ERP Implementation Contracts Manager

Role Overview:

A leading UK-based higher education institution is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual relationship with its ERP implementation partners during the roll-out of a new Workday system for HR, Payroll, and Finance. This role is pivotal in ensuring supplier accountability, managing risk, and supporting successful programme delivery.



Key Responsibilities:

• Manage strategic supplier contracts, ensuring obligations are met and performance is tracked.
• Act as an independent, honest advisor to internal stakeholders, ensuring both supplier and institutional accountability.
• Lead supplier governance, including performance reviews and change control processes.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks, ensuring alignment with budget and timelines.
• Support the programme team in monitoring deliverables and maintaining quality standards.
• Report to senior stakeholders, including the programme sponsor and procurement leadership.


Essential Experience:

• Strong background in ERP implementation contract management (Workday preferred).
• Experience managing strategic supplier relationships in complex transformation programmes.
• Public sector or higher education experience is desirable.
• Legal or commercial background is a plus.
