As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be at the heart of managing and optimising our development processes. Your responsibilities will include overseeing tools and testing environments, managing central code control, maintaining development standards, and writing software that automates systems. You will design secure solutions and deliver complex projects using modern development standards. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and resolving complex service faults and designing efficient systems with medium levels of risk and complexity. Responsibilities A Senior DevOps Engineer delivers and integrates software to form a complete DevOps toolchain. They are responsible for planning and designing large groups of stories. At this role level, you will: Transform technical requirements into an effective DevOps toolchain to enable product delivery Ensure that deployment strategies for products are repeatable, scalable and highly available Have deep technical knowledge, providing support to delivery teams and solving complex problems Manage service components and optimise development processes to ensure they meet business needs and performance indicators. Design secure solutions and services with controls specifically engineered to mitigate security threats. Use modern development standards to design, code, test, and document programs or scripts of medium-to-high complexity. Identify, locate, and fix complex service faults while advising others on different methodologies and types of service support. Design systems with medium levels of risk and complexity, ensuring the selection of appropriate technology and efficient resource use. An established engineering company are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. You will take ownership of defining, refining, and continuously optimising testing and validation methods to ensure that all products consistently meet stringent mechanical, environmental, optical, and electronic performance requirements, while also driving improvements that enhance reliability, compliance, and overall product quality throughout the development lifecycle. Essential Requirements Experience in testing environments with opto‑mechanical components. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and optical engineering principles. Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings, standards, and technical documentation. Competent in data acquisition, analysis, and standard business software (MS Office). Able to maintain accuracy, work independently or within teams, and follow QMS-driven test processes. Responsibilities: Ability to develop and execute test instructions and procedures. Strong analytical reasoning, problem‑solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Role Summary The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the end‑to‑end delivery of 1-2 live construction projects, overseeing every phase from project launch to final handover. This is a client‑facing, site‑based role requiring strong leadership, technical construction expertise, and the ability to drive programme, quality, safety, and cost performance. The post holder leads site management teams, coordinates subcontractors and internal stakeholders, and represents the business professionally to clients and external partners. Key Responsibilities 1. Pre‑Construction & Project Setup Establish new projects using company processes, documentation, and standard templates. Produce a detailed construction programme aligned with contractual requirements. Prepare SHEQ documentation (including notices and construction phase plans) with support from project/site management. Work with the Quantity Surveyor to develop procurement schedules, review subcontractor proposals, and align prelim strategies. Input into design release schedules working with the design team. Arrange and lead project launch meetings, design coordination sessions, and subcontractor pre‑let meetings. Schedule and manage all required pre‑commencement surveys (e.g., dilapidations, drainage). Review planning, environmental, BREEAM, CCS, EPC/SBEM, and other compliance obligations. 2. On‑Site Project Management Monitor and update the construction programme weekly, taking corrective action when necessary. Oversee design development to ensure alignment with programme, specification, and contractual scope. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, quality standards, and compliance. Prepare monthly project reports and present at internal project review meetings. Collaborate closely with the QS to manage procurement, cost, variations, and commercial risks. Maintain strong working relationships with clients, addressing issues promptly and proactively. Ensure statutory responsibilities, accreditations, and compliance (CCS, BREEAM, H&S) are met. Manage delay notices and maintain accurate site records to support entitlement claims. 3. Project Completion & Close‑Out Develop a completion programme with site/project managers. Ensure all documentation required for project completion is produced, checked, and delivered. Oversee compilation of O&M manuals, H&S files, and all project handover materials. Manage snagging activities from practical completion through to client handover. Ensure all company plant, equipment, and assets are correctly returned and recorded. 4. Leadership & People Management Determine site staffing needs and coordinate with senior leadership to resource the project. Foster strong collaboration between commercial, design, and construction teams. Promote teamwork, communication, and a positive work culture across site teams. 5. SHEQ Responsibilities Ensure all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards are maintained. Carry out site audits in line with company procedures. Identify non‑conformances and lead corrective and preventative actions. Monitor site activities to ensure they follow method statements, RAMS, and programmes. Promote a safe working environment and continuous improvement in SHEQ performance.
