The role supports data management including data governance and provides leadership on HMLRs Data Architecture. A senior data architect will lead the delivery of the organisations vision for data through data design, collaborating with technical and non-technical colleagues to ensure data is managed properly and meets the organisation’s needs. The post holder will keep up to date with data policy and standards affecting data management and will be aware of, and take account of, cross-government data architecture initiatives. The post holder will be responsible for the delivery of data designs, models and artefacts that describe HMLR data architecture, will understand the relevant strategies that influence these and will contribute to wider activities that define future roadmaps. The successful candidate should be a consultant or internal/external auditor with a background working in the UK banking or regulated financial services sector for a minimum of seven years. The successful candidate will be passionate about making a real impact to the Bank's controls and business processes because this is key to our mission.
