Infrastructure Project Manager Recruitment Type (Contractor or Temp): Contractor Rate: DAY £500 Location of role: Basingstoke Location requirement : Hybrid in Basingstoke Clearance Required: SC Mandatory skills: -Defining project requirements -Delivered various types of projects through the full project lifecycle. Specifically, ICT infrastructure, application development, test and release -Familiar with different methodologies. I.e. Prince2, Agile, Safe. -Managed the agreement process of the project requirements and objectives with the Project Board or appointed project assurance role. -Managed the delivery of projects in partnership with the customer and business line to ensure acceptance, closedown, and handover to service. -Operated within defined working practices, ensuring compliance with local project management policy, procedure, and methodology where this is in place. -Gathered status reports of team members across their project and address issues as appropriate. -Established reporting project Key Performance Indicators to the Senior Project Manager or Project Board through Highlight Reports and stage assessments. -Managed project risks and produces an effective plan and risk assessment so that timescales and project costs are understood and underwritten by all by the parties. -Ensured that formal review procedures are used. -Managed risks associated with the deliverables of the project. -Integrated financial data for multiple projects. -Ensured that the impact on the Business Line Profit & Loss due to project activities within the scope of the project is clearly visible and that all contingency usage is signed-off by the appropriate governance authority e.g. Project Board -Accountable for tracking the project costs and supporting Business Units in meeting payment milestones. -Ensured that the milestone achievements are signed by the customer and relevant invoices are raised. Key Responsibilities: * Dell PowerMax & HP 3PAR expert. * Perform design (High level & low level) towards the Storage (PowerMax 2000 & 8000) and Backup (HP Store Once & Veritas) * Work with project team to address the requirements towards storage & backup * Strong Design and Solution experience * Experience in Storage (PowerMax 2000 & 800) * Implementation and Management of HP Enterprise Storage (3Par) as well as management across Nimble and NetApp platforms * Implementation and management of SAN fabrics, switches and components * Enterprise storage hardware and software fault resolution in HA critical estates * Shell script writing * Redhat Linux experience * Windows OS experience * Networking protocols and topologies * Strong skills in verbal and written communication including the writing and reviewing of technical * Supporting DELL and HP storage. * Understanding NG requirements on the infrastructure provisioning and working with Dell team to review their design. * Need to be expert on the Dell products and Dell offered technical solutons. * Building and integrating information systems to meet the organization's needs. * Assessing the infrastructure architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it. * Resolving technical problems as they arise. * Providing supervision and guidance to Implementation/development teams. * Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed. * TOGAF certification has added advantage but should have knowledge on the framework. * Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented. * Extensive background in all aspects of networking technology and must possess excellent communication skills. * Monitoring, backups and Disaster Recovery Key Skills & Experience: * Support creation of build and configuration documents Storage (PowerMax 2000 & 8000) and Backup (HP Store Once & Veritas) * Veritas Netbackup Installation, support, and management * Implementation and Management of HP Enterprise Storage (3Par) as well as management across Nimble and NetApp platforms * Implementation and management of SAN fabrics, switches, and components * Enterprise storage hardware and software fault resolution in HA critical estates * Shell script writing * Redhat Linux experience * Windows experience * Networking protocols and topologies * Strong skills in verbal and written communication including the writing and reviewing of technical Please note this role requires travel to the clients Reading office for Adhoc requests.
