Key Responsibilities Provide third-line support for the organisation's SQL Server, SharePoint, Web application infrastructure, Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Azure cloud services Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize server performance and availability following Microsoft best practices Manage Azure SharePoint cloud services, SQL estate, and web farms globally, ensuring uptime, load balancing, and disaster recovery readiness Lead deployments, code releases, and platform upgrades in line with change control and service management standards Collaborate with IT application teams, business units, and external vendors to deliver timely support and improvements Act as a technical lead and coach within the Core Services and Platforms team, supporting knowledge sharing and mentoring Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including Root Cause Analysis and knowledge base articles Participate in an on-call rota for critical infrastructure support Contribute to strategy, resourcing, budgeting, and roadmaps for database, web, and supporting platform services Key Requirements Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting Strong experience with Microsoft SharePoint architecture and administration Practical knowledge of Azure Cloud Services, including management of SharePoint Online and related resources Familiarity with Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) technologies Solid understanding of web application infrastructure and deployment (e.g., IIS, web farms) Experience supporting and managing hybrid IT environments (on-premise and cloud) Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Strong communication skills to liaise with technical and non-technical stakeholders Experience in IT service management frameworks, change control, and agile working practices Desirable Skills Experience w
