We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Server & Storage engineer for our client based in Warrington. Please note that due to the nature of the role active SC clearance is required. The role holder will possess expertise in hybrid environments (on-prem, Azure, SaaS). The role holder will lead the design, implementation and maintenance of resilient server & storage infrastructure that ensures optimal reliability, scalability, and performance. Expertise in virtualisation, storage, backups & VDI is essential. Work Pattern : Hybrid (approx. 1 day per week, office / data centre based) Location : Warrington Working pattern: (5 days per week, Mon to Fri, 9am - 5pm) Duration: 60 days with potential extensions Rate: £65-£68 per hour Inside IR35 Responsibilities and previous experience: * Design, implement, and manage resilient infrastructure solutions that ensure optimal reliability, scalability, and performance. * Installing and configuring server hardware and software, ensuring systems are optimized for performance and security. * Performing regular updates, patches and backups * Maintaining records of server configurations, procedures, and changes for reference and compliance. * Collaborate with other IT teams to support applications and ensure seamless integration. * Train and mentor other team members, to ensure cross-training / skilling Requirements & Skills * Excellent knowledge of SAN solutions primarily NetApp build / configure & maintain * Excellent knowledge of hosting platforms Dell PowerEdge Server & Cisco USC * Excellent knowledge in the management and maintenance of VMWare based virtualised estates Clusters / HA / Replication / Distributed Switches / vCenter upgrades & host patching * Experience in Veeam and other Backup technologies * Experience in migrations for data & infrastructure. * Good understanding of automation and scripting; comfortable creating PowerShell script for infrastructure automation and efficiencies. * Skilled in using monitoring & alerting tools and configure dashboards, e.g. SolarWinds * Good understanding of networking concepts (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, iSCSI). * Good understanding of Activity Directory and GPOs Experience: * 5+ years of experience working within a large enterprise estate (5,000+ users) * Proven track record managing enterprise-grade infrastructure in a production environment Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. We are partnering with a well-established organisation seeking a skilled Project Manager (Dynamics 365) to join their dynamic IT team for a 6-month fixed-term contract. Location – Wokingham (min 2-3 days per week onsite) Duration – 6 Month Fixed Term Contract Responsibilities Work collaboratively with various Development and Infrastructure teams, Quality Assurance and Product. Management to ensure successful delivery of the projects with committed deliverables. Identify risks, track dependencies and remove impediments. Track and communicate team velocity and sprint progress to all affected teams and management. Work remotely and onsite with a diverse group of stakeholders in different time zones. Document Product roadmaps in coordination with Product Managers. Regularly report to senior leadership, providing updates on progress, risks, roadblocks and financials. Assist with project planning and prioritisation. Required Experience Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations. Experience in a project management capacity with evidence of managing complex software projects. Degree in Management or IT/Systems related discipline preferred. A proven understanding of project principles and project management techniques. Knowledge of Azure DevOps, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Teams. Ability to analyse team progress, present appropriate information/charts and provide executive level presentations. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and effectively deal with tight deadlines and pressure. Note that this opportunity is being offered on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract and requires candidate to commute to the Wokingham site several times per week.
