Our client is looking for a Data Developer for one of their customers on a six month initial contract, working two days a week onsite in Manchester and rest remotely. This role is working via Umbrella Company. Role Description: Source Data Integration: Extract data from diverse sources (flat files, APIs, databases) using SSIS connection managers and configure secure, reliable connectivity. ETL Package Development: Design and implement SSIS packages with Control Flow and Data Flow tasks for data extraction, transformation, and loading into staging tables. Data Transformation & Cleansing: Apply transformations (Derived Column, Lookup, Conditional Split) to standardize and validate data before loading into trusted staging. Performance Optimization & Error Handling: Optimize SSIS packages for large data volumes using Bulk Insert or parallel processing; implement robust logging and error handling. Deployment & Maintenance: Deploy SSIS packages to SQL Server, schedule jobs via SQL Server Agent, and monitor performance for continuous improvement. Required: VMware Architect Location: Fully on site in Basingstoke. Duration: 6 months+ Clearance level: DV level IR35 Status: Inside IR35 Mandatory skills: -Experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing VMware-based PaaS solutions, specifically with technologies like vRealize Orchestrator (VRO), VMware Cloud Director (VCD), and NSX-T. -Hands-on experience in configuring and optimizing VMware vRealize Orchestrator (VRO) workflows for automating provisioning, deployment, and management tasks, along with ESXi host lifecycle management. -Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture, including close collaboration with Network, Storage, and SIEM Architects, along with experience in working with NFS and iSCSI storage solutions. -Experience in using CI/CD pipelines to automate infrastructure buildouts and facilitate efficient changes throughout the deployment lifecycle. -Familiarity with CIS benchmarking to maintain security best practices across technologies, ensuring systems are compliant and protected against vulnerabilities.
