Mission freelance Senior Java Developer (Java/Spring) – Agile Environment

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer to join a dynamic and high-visibility digital banking environment focused on customer experience and payment solutions.

You will be part of an Agile squad responsible for developing end-to-end features across modern digital channels, including backend cloud systems and mobile applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful products used daily by thousands of customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into high-quality technical solutions

• Design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable backend applications using Java and Spring Framework

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional Agile teams

• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs

• Ensure application performance, quality and responsiveness

• Apply clean code principles and software engineering best practices

• Identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues and implement fixes

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup and continuous improvement initiatives

• Participate in automated API testing and DevOps activities

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Java development

• Strong expertise in:

  • Java

  • Spring / Spring Boot

  • Maven

  • REST APIs

  • Git

  • Databases

• Experience with:

  • Swagger/OpenAPI (YAML)

  • CI/CD tools such as Jenkins

  • Code quality/security tools (SonarQube, Fortify, NexusIQ or similar)

  • Docker and containerized environments

  • Groovy

• Strong understanding of:

  • Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

  • SOLID principles

  • Design patterns

  • Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

  • Clean Code practices

• Practical experience with Test Driven Development (TDD)

• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments
