This job role is within Digital Services and Technology in the Vehicle Certification Agency. The postholder leads on the development and delivery forming part of our core product set of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. This role reports into the Chief Digital & Information Officer and is part of a multi-disciplinary team who develop and manage a broad suite of digital products and applications. Your main duties will include but will not be limited to: Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of applications, ensuring seamless integration and performance. Collaboration: Lead and work closely with external development teams to form a cohesive hybrid development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Solution Delivery: Oversee the delivery of digital solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Job description DBS Technical Architects support DBS with the design and transition of shared service capabilities to meet the needs of UK Defence and its stakeholders. DBS Technical Architects ensure that Defence procurement, financial and human resource capabilities are designed and delivered in line with effective standards and strategies to meet Defence shared service capability and technology modernisation goals. The roles work as an integral part of the DBS Architecture Profession team to ensure all delivered services integrate cleanly into DBS business, technology, application, and data architecture layers. DBS Technical Architects support the implementation of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) strategy for DBS and the vision set by the Chief Technology Officer. The post holder will: Collaborate with architects across the enterprise to assess change impacts and ensure a coherent delivery approach. Providing support and advice to other architects who are undertaking the design of new business solutions Design solutions in line with MoD design and security policy and gain approvals through the DBS Technical Design Authority governance forum. Design models and reference artifacts enabling re-use of solution components supporting other architects to conform to required processes and standards. Ensure that new business capabilities are designed for clean integration with existing services. Salary New entrants to the Civil Service are expected to start on the minimum of the pay band. Internal rules apply to existing Civil Servants, i.e. level transfers move on current salary or the pay range minimum, transfers on promotion move to new pay range minimum or receive 10% increase. Either case is determined by whichever is the highest. This role is being advertised at Grade 7 with a salary range of £59,644 - £66,120. The Corporate Systems team require an experienced Change Manager to Design and Deliver the Business Change processes and Communications for the Planning Inspectorate transition to Unity Shared Services ensuring effective change and adoption in line with organisation requirements. We are looking for an experienced business Change Manager to design and implement the Inspectorate’s change process ensuring that all Inspectorate SAP Employee Central changes are fully impact assessed and prioritised. Work with the SRO and Lead Delivery Manager to provide assurance against programme plans, verifying that milestones are aligned, and the Transformation Programme Plan takes into account time required to formally manage change. You will provide professional process and technical advice around change management to impacted business areas.
