You will work with several teams across the Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency’s (DVLA) IT Services (ITS) Directorate as well as across the DVLA’s business directorates to develop architectural patterns and solution designs. You will work collaboratively with ITS Engineering squads to deliver new solutions and help transition these into operational service. A Junior Test Engineer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality software by working closely with experienced test professionals to develop core testing skills and knowledge. In this role, you will proactively collaborate with team members and stakeholders to understand requirements and contribute to the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive testing activities. This includes both functional and non‑functional testing across applications and infrastructure, delivered within Agile and Waterfall environments. Through hands‑on involvement and continuous learning, the Junior Test Engineer helps ensure that products meet expected standards of functionality, reliability, and user experience. As an M365 Engineer, you will play a vital role in supporting the DVLA’s digital workplace by providing technical expertise across the full Microsoft 365 ecosystem. You will maintain, optimise, and enhance key Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Defender, Purview, Power Platform, and the M365 wider suite. Your work will help ensure these services remain secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the organisation. A key part of the role involves using PowerShell to automate routine tasks, streamline administration, and improve the efficiency and consistency of M365 operations. The role focuses on technical support, administration, and solution enablement, empowering teams across the organisation to make effective use of Microsoft 365 tools.
