Information Governance Officer Nantgarw - Hybrid - 3 days in, 2 from home 18 Month Contract £31,049-£37,769 (DOE) Excellent opportunity for someone holding a Data Protection Practitioner Certificate to join one of the most interesting and complex projects in the UK offering ownership opportunities, a long-term contract, and a project that will change the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in the UK! In this role you will join a small team of 3 other Information Governance professionals tasked with one of the most ambitious digital projects in the UK. There will be lots of new challenges associated with getting this project off the ground that will be unique. You will work very closely with other departments to come up with solutions that comply with the law but also work for everyone they need to. The ideal candidate will hold a Data Protection Practitioner Certificate holder, have strong communication and problem solving skills, and be able to hit the ground running in a new position. This will be a Monday to Friday position with hybrid working baked in. This position is commutable from Caerphilly, Cardiff, Newport, Pontypridd, Bridgend, Porthcawl, Port Talbot, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil, Cwmbran, Blackwood, Abergavenny, Bristol and the surrounding areas. The IT Service Transition Team ensures that new or changed IT services move smoothly from design/development into live operation without disrupting business processes. It acts as the bridge between Service Design and Service Operation, following ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) principles to minimise risk and maintain service quality. Role The Service Transition Manager will own the Service Transition process within the ITIL framework and is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the transition of new or changed IT services into live operation. The role ensures that services meet agreed acceptance criteria and are delivered with minimal disruption to business operations. As a member of the Service Transition Team, the Service Transition Manager will support and report to the Senior Service Transition Manager. Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with the Product Manager and technical stakeholders to understand priorities and dependencies. Reporting & Insights : Track and report against key milestones and forecasts, providing clear visibility on team progress. Programme-Level Engagement : Represent the team in programme-level sessions, articulating updates, risks, and dependencies. Incident Response : Act as a key escalation point during live incidents, helping to coordinate resolution and communication. Removing Blockers : Proactively address obstacles that hinder team performance and ensure a clear pathway for delivery.
