Business Analyst – 6 Month Contract – Hybrid – Cardiff VIQU have partnered with an NHS client who are seeking a Business Analyst to join on a contract basis. The role: The successful Business Analyst will support ongoing and upcoming software development projects, and will play a key role in requirements gathering, user story creation, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that the solution meets business and user needs. Key responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders and Product Owners to refine and prioritise requirements. Write clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria for the development team. Support the full Agile delivery lifecycle, from discovery to release. Facilitate workshops, map processes, and ensure traceability from requirements to testing. Focus on “to-be” processes while occasionally documenting “as-is” states. Key skills & experience: Proven experience as a Business Analyst on Agile/Scrum software development projects. Skilled in requirements engineering (e.g. user stories, acceptance criteria etc.). Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong stakeholder management experience and skill in facilitation (including requirements workshops, stakeholder interviews). Good attention to detail, and strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps. Public sector experience would be beneficial. Job Title: Project Accountant Location: Glascoed/Radway Green Salary: £43,649 (dependent on skills and experience) What you'll be doing: Project Accounting Support for a variety of contracts, including critical design services for the MoD, working closely with the Integrated Delivery Team (IDT) offering financial support and guidance Support the production of timely insights, analysis and business intelligence to drive performance. Ensure timely working capital cycle for projects and supporting decision makers in delivering strong project financial performance Support the production of quarterly forecasts and Annual Budgets (IBP) in conjunction with the Finance Business Partners. Support IPTs in forecasting financial estimates of costs to deliver projects and manage risks and opportunities, highlighting key information to the relevant FBPs Support the delivery of accurate month end management reporting, on time, including project reporting outputs and monthly management reporting with expert analysis and insights analysing in-year financial performance Support project teams across the lifecycle of contracts, including initial setup, forecasting, trading, reporting and analysis, and closure Operate robust and effective financial controls in line with Financial Control Framework and Finance Policies manual supporting external and internal audit as required Contribute towards identifying and delivering improvements to processes within Project Finance. The successful Power BI Developer will work on self-contained projects, revamp legacy dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data visibility and decision-making. Key responsibilities: Design, build, and enhance dashboards using Power BI, ensuring alignment with internal and visual best practices. Extract and manipulate data from SQL databases, SharePoint lists, and Excel. Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, understand priorities, and deliver tailored reporting solutions. Update and standardize legacy dashboards to meet current compliance and usability standards. Contribute to smaller, self-contained analytics projects. Key skills & experience required: Provenexperience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards with strong visual design skills. Ability to query and manage data from SQL databases. Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions. Familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures in dashboard development and reporting.
