Java Developer with SQL Server – Central London Our Client is looking to recruit a seasoned professional with 5 plus years experience in developing with Java as a backend Developer with SQL Server. You will have a good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms. In addition to the Java and SQL Server development skills you should working knowledge of Spring, working with large code base, SQL, Unix etc. In addition you will have solid problem solving and algorithm skills. Excellent communication skills both spoken and written. This is a 6 months assignment based in Central London. The rate is negotiable. Remote Technical Services - SOLARIS Engineer Location: Remote with ad-hoc travel Duration: 6 months initially IR35 Status : Inside Summary Role description This senior-level role sits within a team responsible for the live service delivery of all aspects of the core infrastructure. The team provides support across Production, Disaster Recovery, Live Acceptance Proving (LAP), Test, and Development environments on a 24/7 basis. Working with the latest Solaris virtualisation technologies, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering operating system support and maintenance for Solaris-based platforms, alongside broader UNIX and Linux environments. This includes, but is not limited to, AIX, SUSE, and Red Hat systems. Key capabilities required for the role include: -Strong working knowledge of Solaris UNIX operating systems -Ability to develop and maintain high-quality UNIX shell scripts -Experience supporting and troubleshooting across multi-platform UNIX/Linux estates -Understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly in the context of infrastructure management and service delivery The role is critical in supporting the team's objectives to effectively manage, monitor, and maintain core infrastructure services, with a particular focus on enabling and sustaining cloud-based service offerings. ** Mandatory Skills required -Proven experience in a support role, preferably at 3rd Line level -Significant hands-on experience with Solaris UNIX -In-depth knowledge of Solaris infrastructure, including virtualisation -Strong UNIX scripting capabilities (e.g. shell scripting) -Demonstrable problem-solving and analytical skills -Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively -Ability to attain and maintain Security Clearance (SC) ** Highly Desirable Skills required Understanding of SAN & Cloud computing principles.
