This job role is within Digital Services and Technology in the Vehicle Certification Agency. The postholder leads on the development and delivery forming part of our core product set of Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. This role reports into the Chief Digital & Information Officer and is part of a multi-disciplinary team who develop and manage a broad suite of digital products and applications. Your main duties will include but will not be limited to: Design and Development: Lead the design, development, and implementation of custom solutions using Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end components of applications, ensuring seamless integration and performance. Collaboration: Lead and work closely with external development teams to form a cohesive hybrid development team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Solution Delivery: Oversee the delivery of digital solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget. Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and performance of developed solutions through rigorous testing and code reviews. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, code, and solutions for future reference and knowledge sharing. Information security: You can maintain the security, confidentiality and integrity of information systems through compliance with relevant legislation and regulations. The Corporate Systems team require an experienced Change Manager to Design and Deliver the Business Change processes and Communications for the Planning Inspectorate transition to Unity Shared Services ensuring effective change and adoption in line with organisation requirements. We are looking for an experienced business Change Manager to design and implement the Inspectorate’s change process ensuring that all Inspectorate SAP Employee Central changes are fully impact assessed and prioritised. Work with the SRO and Lead Delivery Manager to provide assurance against programme plans, verifying that milestones are aligned, and the Transformation Programme Plan takes into account time required to formally manage change. You will provide professional process and technical advice around change management to impacted business areas. You will be responsible for working collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, focussed on delivering high quality code in line with project goals and delivery cycles. As well as this you will be setting the standards for technical excellence within a team of Developers and fostering an environment where team members are supported and can come to you for guidance and feedback. As a senior member of the team, you will provide technical direction within the team to identify the best technology, solutions and industry standard Agile methodologies and embed and enhance practices such as Test- Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration, continuous delivery, and DevOps. You will also keep up to date with the latest technologies and trends, whilst delivering working software early and often, learning new languages and frameworks and picking the right solutions.
