As a Senior Development Engineer you'll: Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) to support development, staging, and production environments Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, utilising Github Actions, AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeDeploy, automating the testing, integration, and deployment of software and data services Lead the design and operation of secure, observable systems aligned with best practices in DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering Collaborate with software developers, data engineers, analysts, and product managers to deliver and support robust digital services Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability and performance of planning data services Ensure infrastructure meets compliance and security requirements, including Government Digital Service standards and National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) guidance Provide technical leadership within the team, mentor junior engineers, and promote DevOps best practices across the wider Digital Planning Programme

API Technical Architect A Technical Architect is needed to define and oversee the technical architecture for a digital platform. The role involves designing scalable solutions on AWS and ensuring seamless integration with Salesforce via APIs Key skills: * Salesforce & APIs: Strong knowledge of Salesforce data models and experience with API integration strategies (REST/JSON, middleware, etc.) to connect Salesforce with other systems. * AWS & Cloud Architecture: Demonstrated experience in designing applications on AWS cloud infrastructure, leveraging appropriate services (compute, storage, networking) and following best practices for cloud security and performance. Programming experience in AWS Lambda is a plus. * DevSecOps Understanding: Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that architectural decisions support secure development and automated deployment processes. As a AWS solution architect you will be working closely with the technical team and working on the development and implementation journeys transforming traditional banking infrastructure and services by leveraging the power, scalability, and security of the AWS cloud. The role demands a strong understanding of AWS services, cloud architecture principles, security best practices, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes. Key Responsibilities: * Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS cloud infrastructure complying with banks standards. * Familiarity with private banking preferred and Avaloq experience will be good add on * Ability to re-envision the target state from current DWH estate towards data products/marketplace model off to AWS/Snowflake * Review AWS Infrastructure components design & usage and implement enhancements. * Design and implement an ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) engine using AWS EMR (Elastic MapReduce) for efficient data processing. * Design, review and Implement reporting solutions integrating Tableau with AWS services for seamless data visualization. * Design and implement containerized UI applications (Front end & back end) with microservices Architecture on Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service). * Experience in Infrastructure as code, scripting (Python/Bash), Helm charts, Docker, Kubernetes * Experience is reviewing and implementing cloud security best practices. * Integrate and optimize supporting AWS services to create a cohesive, performant application ecosystem. * Ensure the overall architecture meets performance, scalability, and security requirements. * Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team throughout the project lifecycle. * Continuously evaluate and recommend improvements to the architecture to enhance performance and reduce costs. * Automate deployment processes and workflows using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Jenkins. * Monitor and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability. * Develop and enforce best practices for security, compliance, and cost management in cloud environments. * Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines , DevOps tools and practices to improve software delivery. * Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues, providing technical support and guidance.
