IT Automation Engineer - 12 months - Brussels

Our important client is currently looking for an IT Automation Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Brussels. Day rate is negotiable.

Mission

As an IT Automation Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our mobile and web applications. You will work on the 2 projects, which focus on applications for managing patient prescriptions used by both patients and healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain manual and automated test scenarios

• Execute functional, non-functional, regression, and correction tests

• Set up and manage testing frameworks and tools

• Perform testing on web and mobile applications

• Participate in defining and implementing the testing strategy

• Coordinate test execution, defect tracking, and reporting

• Support business users during validation and acceptance testing

• Contribute to continuous improvement of quality processes and best practices

Required Skills & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Test Analyst / Automation Engineer

• Strong experience in web application testing

• Solid background in API testing (Postman / SoapUI)

• Experience with test management tools (TestLink, TestRail)

• Knowledge of BPMN

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments

Technical Skills

• Automation testing with Cypress, Selenium or QTP

• Performance testing with JMeter

• Basic knowledge of Java

• Familiarity with SQL, XML, JSON

• Experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, Confluence

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus

• Certifications

• ISTQB and/or TMAP Next certification

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail

• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented

• Ability to plan and manage complex test campaigns

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Languages

• Fluent in French or Dutch

• Good understanding of the other national language
