Role Title: Infrastructure Storage Analyst Location: 1 day per month at Manchester office / may ask candidate to visit office at Birmingham in future for only 1 day per month. Duration: 6 months contract duration Rate £316.83 INSIDE IR35 MUST BE THROUGH UMBRELLA Role Description: MUST HAVE: -VMware + enterprise skills like vRealize, SRM, operations manager -CISCO UCS infrastructure (compute, networking and storage combined into a single unit) -Good knowledge of storage technologies vSAN and VxRail -Experience with Linux command line technologies, as IBM Storage operates on a Unix interface. -Exposure to and application of cluster management within Spectrum Scale. -Familiarity with Spectrum Scale protocols, including GPFS, NFS, and SMB in an active-active topology. The Infrastructure Analyst - Storage will join an already established Platform team within CBS, providing a level of technical knowledge to undertake the troubleshooting and resolution to production incidents or problems independently escalating to Senior Engineers if required. Completes tasks to agreed levels of quality, within stated timescales with minimal supervision. Looks for improvement opportunities within the team and its processes/procedures. An effective team member who provides support and guidance to peers and other team members. Contributes to team efficiency through the creation of accurate technical documentation where required * Responsible for independently troubleshooting and resolving production service incidents * Undertake technical tasks such as patching, allocating storage, maintaining scripts and configuring backups Effectively prioritise tasks to ensure high priority activities are completed first Specific Skills: Demonstrable level of knowledge in their chosen technical discipline. Essential experience of working in a complex, pressurised production environment. Financial services experience would be desirable but not essential. Role Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer / Back and Storage IR35: Inside IR35 Contract Length: 6months initially Location: 3 days onsite in Milton Keynes Clearance: DV clearance required The Storage & Backup SME will provide specialist support for enterprise storage and data protection platforms, with a focus on Veeam and physical storage technologies. The role is critical to ensuring data availability, integrity and recoverability within a secure, regulated environment. The resource will support backup, restore and disaster recovery capabilities, assist with platform optimisation and ensure data protection services meet operational and compliance requirements. Strong technical depth and experience supporting business critical systems are essential. Be a key lead in conversations around Environment development and growth utilising automation techniques to improve the infrastructure. Our blue chip client is looking for SAN Engineers to work fully remote on an initial 12 month Inside IR35 contract. * Experience: o Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAN administration and engineering. o Proven expertise with DELL, PURE, Cisco, Brocade and HPE SAN technologies. Required Technical Skills o Proficiency in SAN management tools and software from DELL, PURE, Cisco, Brocade and HPE. o Strong understanding of SAN fabric, zoning, LUN masking, and storage virtualization. o Proficient in Red Hat OpenShift Enterprise, including cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, multi-node management, operator lifecycle management, troubleshooting containerized workloads, CI/CD pipeline integration and storage migration. o Understanding of functional requirements and translation of business requirements into technical specifications. o Good understanding on Datacentre architecture and Automation technologies. o Working Experience in handling and troubleshooting Storage Products such as Dell VMAX-3, PMAX, Pure and HPE. o Experience in implementing Time Finder Snap/Clone and remote replication using SRDF/S, A & AR at the Symmetrix PowerMax, & VMAX . o Working Experience in handling and troubleshooting Storage Products such as Dell VMAX-3, PMAX, Pure and HPE. o Experience in working on Storage Migration projects and Data Migration tools such as Cirrus or any equivalent tool. o Working Experience on Cisco and Brocade Switches administration, troubleshooting and performance analysis. o Working experience on performing Migrations between multiple switch products. o Having knowledge on any scripting tools like python or any other equivalent tools to support the automation journey (Preferred but not mandatory). o Experience with disaster recovery solutions and replication technologies. o Familiarity with network protocols, including FC, iSCSI, and FCoE. o Detailed knowledge on DCNM, VSAN's, ISL, NPIV o Detailed knowledge of Logical Fabrics / LSAN's / Context Switching. o Detailed knowledge of SAN NAV, FOS, ACS-Gateway. o Experience of Broadcom/brocade Director Class switches. o Experience with SYMCLI, Unisphere, Cisco DCNM and Brocade BNA
