Power BI Developer – Contract – Hybrid – Cardiff VIQU have partnered with an NHS client who are seeking a Power BI Developer to support its analytics function on a contract basis. The successful Power BI Developer will work on self-contained projects, revamp legacy dashboards, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve data visibility and decision-making. Key responsibilities: Design, build, and enhance dashboards using Power BI, ensuring alignment with internal and visual best practices. Extract and manipulate data from SQL databases, SharePoint lists, and Excel. Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, understand priorities, and deliver tailored reporting solutions. Update and standardize legacy dashboards to meet current compliance and usability standards. Contribute to smaller, self-contained analytics projects. Key skills & experience required: Provenexperience in developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards with strong visual design skills. Ability to query and manage data from SQL databases. Strong interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions. Familiarity with following Standard Operating Procedures in dashboard development and reporting. Main duties consist of but are not limited to: Be responsible for the team’s design, coding, testing and documentation of large, complex or mission critical applications in a cloud first environment using Dynamics and Power Apps in MS Azure Work alongside the Head of Development and Digital Engineering to support staff, provide guidance and facilitate issue resolution on a day-to-day basis Day-to-day line management activities such as 1-2-1s and development of IDPs Support in the recruitment of permanent and contract technical specialists for the delivery teams Configuration and customisation of Dataverse / Dynamics entities and forms Development of PowerApps integrations with other Azure components such as Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus and Azure Functions Supporting upgrades and maintenance of the PowerApps platform Identify and manage problems, incidents, risks and issues Build automated tests to support our continuous deployment environments Implement APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability Understanding yourself to be a leader (and the impact of your behaviour on others in a project team focused on results) Work alongside the Head of Digital Engineering to support staff, provide guidance and facilitate issue resolution on a day to day basis

Data Engineer – 3 Month Contract – Hybrid – Cardiff VIQU have partnered with an NHS client who are seeking a Data Engineer to support an ongoing project. The successful Data Engineer will support the modernisation of the data estate, migrating legacy SQL Server warehouses into Azure. You will play a key role in shaping the new cloud data platform. Responsibilities: Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and SQL Database. Lead the migration of on-premises SQL Server/SSIS workloads into Azure. Design data lakes, marts, and models to support analytics and reporting. Integrate external sources including Google Cloud Platform. Drive data governance with tools like Azure Purview. Collaborate with architects, BI teams, and stakeholders to ensure seamless data access. Apply DevOps (ADO, GitHub) and Agile practices for delivery. Key skills & experience: Strong experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and SSIS. Hands-on with Azure SQL, Data Factory, Synapse, and Data Lake. Track record in data warehouse development and cloud migrations. Proficient with Azure DevOps/GitHub. Strong problem-solving and documentation skills.
