Role Overview This pivotal position is focused on overseeing and maintaining the company’s electric vehicle charging network to ensure it operates reliably and efficiently. Knowledge Management: Contribute to developing and updating internal documentation to capture recurring technical issues and best-practice resolutions. Project Involvement: Provide operational support for optimisation initiatives, including rollout of new monitoring or asset management tools. Supplier Liaison: Communicate with contractors and third parties to ensure progress on open actions and adherence to agreed service levels. Reporting & Analysis: Generate and interpret regular performance and trend reports (e.g., via Power BI) to identify risks, inefficiencies, or opportunities for improvement. Customer Focus: Champion initiatives aimed at improving customer experience and increasing utilisation of the charging network. As a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will collaborate with other Infrastructure Engineers to manage, operate and maintain the Department for Education’s physical and cloud networking infrastructure. In a user-centred, agile environment you will assist with driving improvements to modernise the deployment and management of network resources. This includes supporting the primary Lead Network Infrastructure Engineer to phase out outdated practices and implement new initiatives to enhance operation and maintenance. Our Telecoms client is looking for a Solution Architect/Network Design Architect that will be responsible for technical design and implementation SD-WAN services to the DCC. This is a contract role initially for 6 months with good possibility of extension. The rate is £300 per day outside IR35. This role can be either based in London or Manchester with Travel approx. Once a week, depending on customer requirements. Please note that candidate needs to either hold SC clearance or be eligible for one. Network Monitoring Specialist – 6-month contract – Fully Remote My client is seeking a skilled Network Monitoring Specialist to take ownership of their monitoring platforms (SolarWinds) and build effective dashboards to enhance visibility across their expanding network. This role is critical in ensuring that WAN links between data centres and the internet remain robust, reliable, and free from latency issues. Key Skills and Experience required from the Network Monitoring Specialist : Proven experience with network monitoring platforms, specifically SolarWinds and PRTG. Strong understanding of WAN infrastructure, data centre links, and internet connectivity. Ability to design and customise dashboards for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in optimising and tailoring SolarWinds environments to suit customer needs. Solid troubleshooting and performance analysis skills to pre-empt and resolve latency issues. Comfortable leading from discovery/build through to maturity and long-term improvements. Any experience with the following would be beneficial: Cisco, Palo Alto, ClearPass, Aruba, Nexus and Fortinet. Documentation to improve monitoring platform moving forward Work with SolarWinds and PRTG monitoring tools to improve visibility and reporting. Ensure network performance and proactively identify and resolve potential latency issues as the network expands. Mature the use of monitoring tools and help embed them into daily operational processes. Provide recommendations and roadmap improvements for monitoring platforms and tools to support future scalability.
