What you need to know about .NET

.NET is a software development framework created by Microsoft, designed to enable the creation of web, mobile, desktop, and cloud applications. Based on a cross-platform architecture, it supports multiple programming languages such as C#, F#, and VB.NET, thus offering great flexibility to developers. With the ASP.NET framework, it facilitates the development of high-performance web applications and APIs, while .NET Core (now merged into .NET 5 and above) enables cross-platform application development, compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux. .NET includes rich libraries for data management, security, and user interfaces, as well as a high-performance runtime engine called Common Language Runtime (CLR). Thanks to its vast ecosystem and tools like Visual Studio and NuGet, .NET is widely used to create robust and scalable solutions, adapted to the diverse needs of modern businesses.
