Job description In this role, you will: Design and Deliver Intelligent Solutions Build scalable, secure applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents) to automate workflows, enhance collaboration, and improve operational efficiency across departments. Copilot Studio & Agent Development Develop and deploy custom Copilot agents using Copilot Studio, integrating them with internal systems (e.g. SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure services) to provide conversational interfaces that support case management, data entry, and stakeholder engagement. Champion the use of generative AI to reduce manual effort and improve user experience. SharePoint Online Administration Configure and manage SharePoint Online environments, including site collections, permissions, integrations, and compliance policies. Ensure performance, availability, and data protection in line with UKEF’s governance standards. Custom Development & Integration Develop solutions using Power Platform, and modern web technologies such as SPFx. Integrate with Microsoft 365 and external APIs to support business processes and automate tasks. Data Source Management Maintain and optimise data sources used in Power Platform solutions, ensuring integrity, security, and alignment with enterprise data governance strategies. AI-Driven Workflows Leverage AI Builder and Copilot capabilities to create intelligent workflows that adapt to user behaviour and business context, enhancing decision-making and reducing operational overhead. Mentorship & Best Practices Lead in establishing a Centre of Excellence. Promote best practices, reusable components, and knowledge sharing across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint. Cross-Government Collaboration Represent UKEF in cross-government forums (e.g. Low Code Community, Innovation Days), sharing insights on secure automation, Copilot adoption, and platform engineering. Automated Development & Deployment Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines for Power Platform and SharePoint solutions. Collaborate with Cloud and QA Automation teams to ensure robust testing, version control, and secure deployments. Technology Landscape Awareness Stay current with Microsoft’s evolving ecosystem, including Copilot extensibility, and AI capabilities. Evaluate emerging tools and approaches to continuously improve engineering practices. Using your technical skills and knowledge you will take a hands-on approach to your work, developing business applications at scale to support improved business processes and outcomes. You will provide a managed service support to wider projects and BAU activities, including providing governance across systems to ensure high standards are achieved and maintained, providing high levels of assurance. Main duties include: Providing skills in Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365, specifically Power Apps, Microsoft Fabric (specifically Power BI), Power Automate, Dataverse and Copilot Studio to create and deliver new solutions and maintain existing solutions. Support the platform and be willing to develop in all areas of the Power Platform and Dynamics 365 Pro-actively support live services. Taking the responsibility for the resolution of live incidents or escalation, as appropriate. Support continuous enhancements to live services and systems to prevent service outage. Assist in the development of business intelligence solutions and maintain existing solutions and infrastructure. For more information about the role, please see the attached candidate pack. Please note you will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week in this post. This role may involve occasional travel which may include stays away from home and participation in a permanent on-call rota. The role may require occasional planned out of hours working in order to deal with IT changes and maintenance. HMLR expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office.
