Senior Technical Infrastructure Project Manager Our Client is looking to recruit a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager with at least 10 to 15 years solid expertise to manage and oversee the technical processes. Must be someone has been through the cycle from 1st to 3rd line support and subsequently moved in to project management. You will be involved with project planning and delivering upgrades to hardware and software and decisions with senior management. You must therefore be able work at all levels and understand the full project life-cycle. Must be familiar with Active Directory and server 2013. An excellent manager and be able to lead and direct a team of techies. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels. The Client has sites scattered across the UK and Asia and therefore there will be travel required to meet various teams and heads of departments. The duration of this contract assignment is 6 months. The rate will be negotiable but probably in the range £550 to £700 per day for the right candidate. The role will be based in Milton Keynes. Senior IT Infrastructure Support Analyst – Milton Keynes Our Client is looking to recruit a Senior IT Infrastructure Support specialist with at least 5 to 7 years experience having come up the ranks from 1 level support through to 3 level support including project work. Must be an all-rounder in terms of technology and completely hands-on with the ability get things done. You will have very strong infrastructure generalist skills from the legacy Microsoft technology through to up-to-date MS Windows Server technology. Must have good applications experience on windows platforms. Definitely a strong background MS Windows AD – Active Directory. Must be confident with MS Windows Server – 2003 upwards todate. Experienced and very strong trouble-shooter. The Client would like to recruit a candidate who comes up with the solutions and NOT just operating under direction of others. – so clear decisive and enthusiastic. Microsoft InTune would be of interest and a benefit but NOT a must. Experience with Application deployment via GPO’s a benefit Experience with image deployment methods. Milton Keynes base and must be within easy commute. Some UK travel required and international travel possible in future. The rate is negotiable. The contract duration will be 6 months. The Associate IT Infrastructure Engineer exists to support the provision of advanced information technology required by OAC to enable a range of analytical outputs to support the front line. This includes the specific responsibility for the administration, maintenance, development, and support of the OAC operational analysis secret and official local area networks as well as relevant cloud services provided by Navy Digital. They are responsible for maintaining and administering OAC local area networks in line with organisational requirements. This includes the provision and maintenance of associated hardware and ensuring compliance with security and software licencing conditions. They are also responsible for providing technical support to OAC Operational Analysis (OA) activities, including modelling and simulation, wargaming, tactical reconstruction, and conducting live trials. This includes the maintenance, installation, and operation of equipment used onboard UK and NATO vessels in support of fulfilling trial data capture requirements. We will provide training, tutoring and mentoring to ensure that you can develop your own abilities within the role. Subject to funding, the successful candidate will be able to complete an apprenticeship and combine on the job training with an additional learning, leading to an externally awarded qualification. Specifically, the Associate IT Infrastructure Engineer is required to: Deliver technical support and advice to OAC and its customers as requested via the OAC Technical Section task management system (TMS). Support the Technical Section Team Leader on the development of OAC technical support capability, including maintaining technical systems to meet stated OAC requirements. Fit and maintain data recording equipment on UK and NATO ships in support of OAC operational analysis activity. Be part of a team working on more complex technical support tasks where required, including responsibility for elements of a larger projects. Maintain a watching brief on technological developments in the fields of information technology and data capture/analysis. Act as one of the system administrators for the Official, Secret and Top-Secret IT systems. Perform all activities with due regard to departmental policies on health and safety, security. and diversity and inclusion. Provide support to OAC Technical Section Team Leader and senior engineer as required.
