In simple terms, the web designer draws, the developer formalizes using programming languages like HTML and CSS. Some developers are capable of working with JavaScript. But most of the time, the developer uses their preferred software for all their projects. Previously, development was limited to the back end. But today, more and more designers are starting to take an interest in development. The front-end developer often comes from a web design background.
